  • Devils' Luke Evangelista: First two goals with new team

Evangelista scored two goals in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Mammoth.

The goals were his first as a member of the Devils; both were deflections, including one on the power play. Evangelista has two goals, one assist and nine shots in three games so far, and he could deliver a career year skating with Nico Hischier and Timo Meier. His previous best came last season in Nashville when he put up 56 points (12 goals, 44 assists, 17 power-play points) in 81 games.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Strong start to season

Vejmelka made 30 saves in a 5-3 win over the Devils on Tuesday.

He has started three of Utah's first four games, going 2-1-0 with one shutout, a 2.02 GAA and .913 save percentage. Vejmelka finished second in the NHL last season with 38 wins in 63 starts, and he is poised to carry a similarly heavy workload this year. His fantasy value will skyrocket if he can maintain the kind of ratios he's delivering so far. Last year, he finished with a 2.75 GAA and .897 save percentage.

  • Mammoth's MacKenzie Weegar: First goal of season

Weegar scored a goal, picked up six PIM and blocked six shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Devils.

The goal was his first of the year. Weegar is looking for redemption this season after tallying just 28 points, including four goals, in 60 games last season. He did have 175 blocks in 2025-26, and he's already delivered in that category -- Weegar has 16 in four games this season. Mikhail Sergachev left Tuesday's game with an undisclosed injury, and Weegar may be called on to pick up the slack if the absence is prolonged.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Scores lone goal in loss

Laferriere scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.

Laferriere opened the scoring late in the first period, but his goal was all the Kings could get past Jacob Markstrom. Through three games this season, Laferriere has a goal, two assists, five shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-1 rating. He's occupying a top-six role and seeing power-play time. The 24-year-old should offer well-rounded depth production for fantasy managers.

  • Mammoth's Vincent Trocheck: First goal with new team

Trocheck scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Devils. He also delivered two hits.

It was Trocheck's first goal with the Mammoth after being traded from the Rangers on July 1. He has 13 hits in four games, including two on Tuesday. Trocheck may not be lighting up the scoreboard like linemates Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz are right now, but their influence will rub off on him soon enough.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Decent showing in loss

Kuemper allowed two goals on 28 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.

Kuemper's second start of the season went significantly better than his first, when he gave up eight goals on 29 shots to the Avalanche. The 36-year-old still took the loss, but he allowed just one goal in each of the second and third periods. Kuemper and Anton Forsberg have both started slow this season, and it's possible the Kings use a timeshare in the crease rather than leaning on either goalie for the majority of the starts. The Kings' next game is a tough one on the road in Vegas on Saturday.

  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Pots goal in Tuesday's win

Jones scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Kings.

Jones picked up his first point of the season with the game-tying goal in the second period Tuesday. The defenseman has seen heavy minutes in a top-four role -- his 25:33 of ice time Tuesday was his lowest mark in a game this season. He's added nine shots on net, three blocked shots, three hits and a minus-1 rating. Jones has featured heavily on the power play so far, and that's unlikely to change when Aaron Ekblad (personal) rejoins the team.

  • Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Nets game-winner

Tkachuk scored a goal on two shots and added five hits in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Kings.

Tkachuk extended his point streak to three games with the third-period tally, which was the game-winner. He has two goals, one assist, seven shots on net, nine hits and a plus-2 rating across four contests this season. Tkachuk is a fixture in the Panthers' top six when healthy, and he should contribute significantly as a high-scoring power forward.

  • Clayton Keller RW | UTA

Mammoth's Clayton Keller: Season-long point streak

Keller had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over the Devils on Tuesday.

With the points, Keller extended his season-opening point streak to four games (one goal, six assists). Five of the seven points, including Tuesday's goal, have come with the man advantage. Keller is coming off an 88-point campaign in 2025-26, with 225 shots, 27 power-play points and a plus-21 rating, and he has put up at least 86 points in three of his last four seasons. He has also delivered at least 218 blocks in his last four campaigns. Keller is as much a fantasy lock as anyone right now. His first century mark could come this season.

  • Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Locks down win

Markstrom stopped 19 of 20 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Kings.

The Kings struck first on Alex Laferriere's goal late in the first period, but Markstrom locked things down after that to help the Panthers pull off a comeback win. Markstrom is now 2-0-1 with four goals allowed on just 56 shots over three games this season. If the Panthers' defense continues to be this sharp, he won't have to do a lot to pile up wins throughout the years, though the absence of Aleksander Barkov (knee) hurts the team's overall structure. The Panthers are heading home to face the Wild on Saturday in their next game.
