Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Holds on for win
Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in Friday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.
Kuemper had a 3-0 lead to work with after one period, and he was able to protect it despite allowing a goal to Emil Heineman in each subsequent frame. This was Kuemper's second win in four outings in March. The 35-year-old goalie is up to 16-13-10 with a 2.68 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 41 starts this season. Look for Anton Forsberg to get the nod in Saturday's game versus the Devils to finish off this back-to-back set.

Justin Kirkland LW | CGY
Flames' Justin Kirkland: Two goals in AHL win
Kirkland scored twice in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.
Kirkland has four goals over four games in March. The 29-year-old forward has been in the AHL since the start of February after a stint with the Flames. He has 15 points through 28 appearances at the AHL level overall this season.

Aydar Suniev LW | CGY
Flames' Aydar Suniev: Puts up three points Friday
Suniev scored twice and added an assist in AHL Calgary's 7-2 win over Manitoba on Friday.
Suniev has five goals and an assist over his last seven contests. The 21-year-old forward has scored fairly well this season, earning 15 goals in 47 appearances, but he's added just four assists with a minus-22 rating. He'll need to improve his all-around performance to push for a spot with the Flames.

Braeden Cootes C | VAN
Canucks' Braeden Cootes: Puts up four points in WHL blowout
Cootes scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Prince Albert's 11-0 win over Moose Jaw on Friday.
Most of the Raiders' lineup had good games, and Cootes was right there with them. He had missed a bit of time due to an injury earlier in March, but he looks good to go now. Cootes is up to 22 goals and 57 points through 42 appearances between Prince Albert and Seattle in his fourth campaign in the WHL. The 19-year-old forward could compete for a spot with the Canucks in 2026-27, as the team is severely lacking in talent, especially at center.

Louis Domingue G | NYR
Panthers' Louis Domingue: Earns first shutout of AHL season
Domingue recorded an 18-save shutout in AHL Charlotte's 3-0 win over Bridgeport on Friday.
This was Domingue's first shutout of the season. He has gone 4-3-0 with a 2.78 GAA and an .852 save percentage over eight appearances for Charlotte. The netminder provides the Panthers with some organizational depth should something sideline Sergei Bobrovsky or Daniil Tarasov in the last month-plus of the NHL season.

James Hagens C | BOS
Bruins' James Hagens: Racks up three more points
Hagens scored twice and added an assist in Boston College's 5-0 win over the University of Maine on Friday.
Hagens is up to 23 goals and 45 points through 33 appearances this season. He leads the team by eight points over the the next closest player, fellow Bruins prospect Dean Letourneau, who had a goal and an assist. Hagens will look to keep BC rolling for the Hockey East semifinals next Friday.

Radko Gudas D | ANA
Ducks' Radko Gudas: Gets five-game ban
Gudas was given a five-game suspension Friday for kneeing Toronto's Auston Matthews in Thursday's game.
Matthews sustained a season-ending knee injury on the play. Gudas was offered a phone hearing, so this was the maximum-length suspension possible without an in-person hearing. Gudas will be eligible to return March 24 versus the Canucks. John Carlson (lower body) should be able to make his Ducks debut at some point during Gudas' ban, but if that doesn't happen Saturday versus the Senators, look for both of Ian Moore and Drew Helleson to play on the blue line.

Joel Hofer G | STL
Blues' Joel Hofer: In goal versus Oilers
Hofer will guard the home goal versus the Oilers on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Hofer has gone 4-0-1 with just eight goals allowed on 154 shots (.948 save percentage) over five games since the Olympic break. The 25-year-old netminder continues to play well, but he'll need to be sharp against the Oilers, who figure to be ornery after their 7-2 loss to the Stars on Thursday. Hofer will catch a slight break since Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (personal) isn't in Edmonton's lineup Friday.

Auston Matthews C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Missing rest of season
Matthews (knee/quad) sustained a Grade 3 MCL tear and a quadriceps contusion Thursday versus the Ducks. He will be reevaluated in two weeks, but he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Matthews took a knee-on-knee hit from Radko Gudas, and it will be enough to end the Toronto captain's campaign. The Maple Leafs haven't been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race yet, but it's hard to see a path forward for them to get there without Matthews. He ends the campaign with 27 goals and 53 points over 60 appearances, his lowest scoring numbers in any of his 10 NHL campaigns. It's unclear if he'll be cleared in time to have the option to represent Team USA at the IIHF World Championship.

Connor Ingram G | EDM
Oilers' Connor Ingram: Set to start Friday
Ingram will guard the road goal versus the Blues on Friday, Paige Martin of Oilers TV reports.
Ingram is set to handle the second half of a back-to-back. He was able to back up versus the Stars on Thursday after an injury scare. Tristan Jarry ended up taking a 7-2 loss to the Stars, so Ingram will look to get the Oilers back on track in an easier matchup.
