  • Riley Tufte LW | NJ

Devils' Riley Tufte: Sent to waivers

Tufte was placed on waivers by New Jersey on Sunday.

Tufte secured a one-year contract with New Jersey in the offseason after he spent the 2025-26 campaign in Boston's organization. He scored a goal across four games with Boston and was also effective with AHL Providence, where he posted 32 goals and 56 points across 64 regular-season outings. If he goes unclaimed over the next 24 hours, he'll open the 2026-27 campaign likely to play a large role for AHL Utica. Given that he was one of the last depth forwards on New Jersey's roster ahead of Sunday, he'll likely be one of the first names up from the minors if the team runs into injury trouble.

  • Golden Knights' Antti Tuomisto: Lands on waivers

Tuomisto was waived by the Golden Knights on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.

Tuomisto signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract with Vegas in early July but is slated to head to the minors for the start of the regular season if he clears waivers. He recorded eight goals, 21 assists and 34 PIM across 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Grand Rapids last year.

  • Devils' Marc McLaughlin: Appears on waivers Sunday

McLaughlin was placed on waivers by New Jersey on Sunday.

McLaughlin re-upped with New Jersey in the offseason, where he signed a one-year, two-way deal to stay with the organization. He played seven games with New Jersey a season ago, but he primarily suited up for AHL Utica, where he recorded six goals and 14 points across 23 regular-season outings. The 27-year-old forward could see a handful of outings in the NHL again in 2026-27, but he will likely spend the majority of the campaign with the Comets.

  • Senators' Philip Tomasino: Waived by Ottawa

Tomasino was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Tomasino spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he recorded 12 goals and 29 assists across 52 regular-season appearances between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Lehigh Valley. He'll presumably head back to the minors if he clears waivers.

  • Nathan Bastian RW | FLA

Panthers' Nathan Bastian: Earns one-year deal

Bastian signed a one-year, two-way contract with Florida on Sunday and was placed on waivers, PuckPedia reports.

Bastian attended Florida's training camp on a professional tryout agreement. If he clears waivers, he could start the 2026-27 campaign with AHL Charlotte. Bastian collected six goals, seven points, 25 shots on net and 85 hits over 36 regular-season appearances with Dallas in 2025-26.

  • Ryan Suzuki C | CAR

Senators' Ryan Suzuki: Waived by Ottawa

Suzuki was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Suzuki signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators during the offseason after generating 13 goals, 35 assists and 30 PIM over 66 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago last year. He's set to begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors as long as he clears waivers.

  • Lightning's Jakob Pelletier: Sent to waivers

Pelletier was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Sunday.

Pelletier had an outside shot to make Tampa Bay's Opening Night roster, but the team opted to stick with veterans Zemgus Girgensons, Jansen Haskins and Scott Sabourin as the depth forwards. The 25-year-old Pelletier had a breakout season with AHL Syracuse last year, where he recorded 28 goals and 77 points across 63 regular-season appearances. The current alternate captain for the Crunch will likely have the chance to play in the NHL at some point in 2026-27 if Tampa's forward core experiences injuries.

  • Senators' Christian Kyrou: Placed on waivers

Kyrou was placed on waivers by the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.

Kyrou wasn't extended a qualifying offer from the Flyers during the offseason, but he signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa a few days later. He'll be left off the Senators' Opening Night roster and should head to the minors if he clears waivers. He generated 10 goals, 24 assists and 16 PIM across 55 regular-season appearances with AHL Lehigh Valley last year.

  • Ducks' Laurent Brossoit: Hits waivers Sunday

Brossoit was placed on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Brossoit inked a one-year, $1.1 million contract with Anaheim on the opening day of free agency in July. If he clears waivers and reports to AHL San Diego, he will provide the Ducks with an organizational depth netminder if injuries occur.

  • Lightning's Mads Sogaard: Hits waivers Sunday

Sogaard was placed on waivers by the Lightning on Sunday.

Sogaard signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Lightning in the offseason after he was a part of the Senators' goalie carousel in 2025-26 during Linus Ullmark's absence. The 25-year-old Sogaard primarily played with AHL Belleville, where he posted a 7-13-4 record, a 3.69 GAA and an .874 save percentage across 27 regular-season outings. He'll look to battle for AHL Syracuse's No. 1 spot between the pipes with the departure of Brandon Halverson.
