  • Sean Durzi D | NYR

Rangers' Sean Durzi: First Blueshirt goal a game-winner

Durzi scored a power-play goal while adding two shots on net and one blocked shot in Friday's 2-0 victory over the Red Wings.

The 27-year-old blueliner blasted a one-timer from the high slot past John Gibson early in the first period, and it turned out to be the game-winner. Durzi also added seven PIM after getting into a second-period scrap with Marco Kasper. Durzi is comfortably filling a spot in the Rangers' top four while handling second-unit power-play duties behind Adam Fox.

  • Dylan Garand G | NYR

Rangers' Dylan Garand: Blanks Wings in season debut

Garand turned aside all 22 shots he faced in Friday's 2-0 win over the Red Wings.

The 24-year-old netminder made early saves, and the Rangers' defense locked things down late, with Garand facing only two shots in the third period. It was his first career shutout in just his fourth NHL game, and if he continues to shine as Igor Shesterkin's backup, New York could have a tough decision to make once Joonas Korpisalo (lower body) is cleared to return.

  • Adam Lowry C | WPG

Jets' Adam Lowry: Produces pair of assists in overtime loss

Lowry logged two assists, two shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Lowry is starting the year as the third-line center, though he'll also function as a security blanket if rookie Viggo Bjorck isn't able to handle second-line duties. Lowry is a quality middle-six forward -- he had finished between 34 and 36 points in each regular season from 2022-23 to 2024-25 before dipping to 21 points last year. He also adds plenty of hits and a decent share of blocked shots. His fantasy utility depends on the categories in play, but he should be able to bounce back a bit in 2026-27.

  • Jets' Mario Ferraro: Tallies in Winnipeg debut

Ferraro scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Ferraro opened his Winnipeg tenure on the third pairing, logging 17:58 of ice time. The goal was a nice touch, but the 28-year-old defenseman is primarily valued for his shutdown skills, not his offense. He is coming off a career-best 23-point campaign in 82 regular-season games with the Sharks in 2025-26. Ferraro has also topped 120 hits in all seven of his NHL seasons, and he's logged at least 150 blocks in three of the last five campaigns. That production will give him some value in banger leagues.

  • Bruins' Nikita Zadorov: Puts up pair of assists

Zadorov notched two assists, two hits and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Zadorov is back in a top-four role this season, and he should stay there throughout the year. While he had a multi-point effort Friday, the bulk of his fantasy production comes from his high-end physicality. He's already racked up 10 hits and three blocked shots, and Zadorov is also a candidate to generate 100-plus PIM. He's at least been consistent over the last five years, generating between 20 and 22 points in each of those seasons, giving fantasy managers a reasonable expectation for what he's capable of doing.

  • David Pastrnak RW | BOS

Bruins' David Pastrnak: Clutch playmaking in win

Pastrnak registered two assists and four shots on goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Pastrnak set up Elias Lindholm's equalizer late in the third period as well as JJ Peterka's game-winner in overtime. This was a positive display for Pastrnak, who was held off the scoresheet Tuesday versus the Rangers in the season opener. The star winger has two helpers, eight shots on net, one hit, one blocked shot and a plus-1 rating so far this season. Pastrnak has logged four straight 100-point campaigns, so he has an incredibly high ceiling, especially if he can improve on his 11.1 shooting percentage from last year, his lowest mark since his rookie year.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Deposits goal Friday

Lindholm scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Lindholm tied the game at 1-1 in the first period with his goal. The 32-year-old defenseman is seeing power-play time early in the campaign, though that could dry up once Charlie McAvoy (suspension) is set to play, which will happen Oct. 13. Through two contests, Lindholm has generated two points, three blocked shots and a plus-3 rating while playing on Boston's top-pairing.

  • James Hagens C | BOS

Bruins' James Hagens: Nets first NHL goal

Hagens scored a goal and added two hits in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Hagens tallied his first NHL goal in the first period to put the Bruins ahead 2-1. The 19-year-old is attempting to stick at the NHL level this year, working in a third-line capacity. He's added two shots on net, two hits and two blocked shots over his first two contests of the year. Since he's a 19-year-old first-round pick, Hagens is eligible to head to the AHL this season under new NHL rules, but it may be better for his development to grow in Boston rather than Providence. Hagens should already be scooped up in dynasty formats, but he's worth keeping track of throughout 2026-27 to see if he can produce enough to help in redraft leagues.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Garners pair of helpers

Eichel logged two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on net in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.

Eichel has had no trouble getting up to speed with five points, four shots and a plus-1 rating over two games this season. He had a hand in goals by Shea Theodore and Tomas Hertl in the third period of Friday's contest. Eichel's top-line usage and his power-play role make him one of the most reliable non-elite centers in the NHL, so he can be kept in fantasy lineups with confidence throughout the year.

  • Golden Knights' Braeden Bowman: Scores late in loss

Bowman scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.

Bowman started the game on the fourth line, but the 23-year-old winger has the skills to be a utility type of player. He found success last year in a top-six role, but he also does the little things right that make him valuable in the bottom six. It may come down to opportunities in the end. Bowman had 26 points over 54 regular-season outings last year and already has a goal, four shots and a minus-3 rating across two contests in 2026-27. If he gets promoted to a scoring line, he's worth a waiver-wire add in fantasy.
