  • John Beecher C | FLA

    Panthers' John Beecher: Waived Sunday

Beecher was moved to the waiver wire Sunday, according to PuckPedia.

Beecher picked up three goals, seven points, 37 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and 23 hits in 35 regular-season appearances between Boston and Calgary in 2025-26. He signed a one-year, two-way contract with Florida in July. If he clears waivers, Beecher could open the 2026-27 campaign with AHL Charlotte.

  • Ducks' Travis Mitchell: Headed to waivers

Mitchell was placed on waivers by the Ducks on Sunday, per PuckPedia.

Mitchell was a surprise addition on Sunday's waiver list, as the Ducks currently have multiple key defensemen either listed as day-to-day or out, including Pavel Mintyukov (illness), Drew Helleson (lower body) and Ian Moore (lower body). The 26-year-old Mitchell played nine regular-season outings with the Islanders in 2025-26, but he primarily played with AHL Bridgeport, posting a goal and 17 points across 58 regular-season games. While he'll head to AHL San Diego if he goes unclaimed, he could return to Anaheim in the near future if the team's defensive core has their current health issues persist.

  • Blackhawks' Dominic Toninato: Moves to waivers

Toninato was put on waivers Sunday, per PuckPedia.

Toninato notched 16 goals and 43 points in 52 regular-season games for AHL Rockford in 2025-26. If he clears waivers, he will likely return to Chicago's top minor-league affiliate for the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Blues' Georgii Romanov: Placed on waivers Sunday

Romanov was placed on waivers by the Blues on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.

Romanov signed a two-year, two-way contract with St. Louis during the offseason and is set to begin the regular season in the minors since the Blues will keep Joel Hofer and Jordan Binnington as their two goaltenders on the roster for the start of the year. Romanov made 28 regular-season appearances with AHL Springfield last year and went 9-12-4 with a 3.29 GAA and .896 save percentage.

  • Golden Knights' Alexander Holtz: Goes on waiver wire

Holtz was placed on waivers Sunday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

Holtz contributed three goals, six assists, 30 shots on net and 29 hits in 28 appearances for Vegas during the 2025-26 regular season. He will likely begin the 2026-27 campaign with AHL Henderson if he clears waivers.

  • Devils' David Rittich: Appears on waivers

Rittich was placed on waivers by New Jersey on Sunday.

Out of the six players sent to the waiver wire by New Jersey on Sunday, Rittich was by far the biggest shock. The 34-year-old netminder was signed to a one-year, $1 million contract on the second day of free agency and entered training camp as the projected No. 2 option for the upcoming campaign. He was a strong backup with the Islanders in 2025-26, where he posted a 14-10-3 record, a 2.76 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 30 regular-season outings. As things currently stand, New Jersey currently has three goalies on their active roster - Jake Allen, Nico Daws and the newly-acquired Remi Poirier off waivers. It remains to be seen whether Rittich was placed on waivers as an act of roster gymnastics by New Jersey to scoop up Poirier, or if the team views the veteran as the No. 4 option in the organization. Regardless, there is a non-zero chance that Rittich is claimed off the wire, making the next 24 hours intriguing for the veteran netminder's future.

  • Golden Knights' Ville Heinola: Hits waiver wire

Heinola was placed on waivers Sunday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Heinola spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors, recording three goals and 21 points in 44 regular-season appearances for AHL Manitoba. He signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with Vegas in the summer. If Heinola clears waivers, he is ticketed to report to AHL Henderson.

  • Calle Rosen D | STL

Blues' Calle Rosen: Waived by St. Louis

Rosen was placed on waivers by the Blues on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.

Rosen hasn't appeared in a regular-season NHL game since the 2023-24 campaign, and he appears set to begin the upcoming campaign in the minors as long as he clears waivers. The 32-year-old recorded eight goals, 23 assists and 24 PIM across 61 regular-season appearances with AHL Springfield last year.

  • Sharks' Ilya Samsonov: Put on waivers

Samsonov was placed on waivers Sunday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

Samsonov posted a 3-8-0 record, a 3.27 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 14 KHL appearances for HK Sochi during the 2025-26 regular season. He signed a one-year, two-way contract with San Jose on Sept. 8. If he clears waivers and reports to AHL San Jose, he could be a call-up option for the Sharks in the 2026-27 campaign if goaltending injuries occur.

  • Devils' Topias Vilen: Sent to waivers

Vilen was placed on waivers by New Jersey on Sunday.

Vilen will head to the waiver wire Sunday with New Jersey's intention to have him return to AHL Utica. Across 61 regular-season outings with the Comets in 2025-26, the 23-year-old blueliner posted 23 assists and 27 points. While he likely won't play more than a handful of games for New Jersey in the 2026-27 season, he should have ample opportunities to develop in the AHL.
