Red Wings' Eddie Genborg: Pens entry-level deal

Genborg signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Red Wings on Sunday.

Genborg's entry-level deal will begin next season. The 18-year-old winger will now report to AHL Grand Rapids for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign on an amateur tryout. The 2025 second-round pick (No. 44 overall) generated nine goals, 25 points and a plus-8 rating across 43 games with Timra IK of the Swedish Hockey League this season.

  • Alex Huang D | NSH

Predators' Alex Huang: Earns three helpers in QMJHL win

Huang notched three assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 9-3 win over Rimouski on Sunday.

Huang has earned six helpers over his last three games. Chicoutimi's offense has been elite in recent weeks, which has allowed Huang to play a large role on offense. The Nashville prospect is up to 67 points (nine goals, 58 assists) through 60 appearances this season in his third campaign. A fourth-round pick in 2025, Huang has defied that drop in the draft with a breakout season.

  • Troy Terry RW | ANA

Ducks' Troy Terry: Returning to lineup

Terry (upper body) is expected to play in Sunday's road matchup versus the Canadiens, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Terry was on the ice for pregame warmups in Montreal, indicating he will return to the lineup for the first time since Feb. 25. The 28-year-old has recorded 13 goals, 45 points, 107 shots and a plus-7 rating over 46 appearances this season.

Blumel scored twice in AHL Providence's 4-3 loss to Springfield on Sunday.

Blumel has operated near a point-per-game pace this season, earning 17 goals and 26 helpers over 44 contests. He also has a career-best plus-20 rating in his fourth AHL campaign and first with Providence. Blumel has gotten on the scoresheet in eight of his last nine games, totaling seven goals and five assists in that span.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Between pipes in Seattle

Tarasov will defend the road cage Sunday in Seattle, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Tarasov picked up his first win since Jan. 25 against the Red Wings on Tuesday, stopping 25 of 28 shots in a 4-3 win. The 26-year-old owns a 9-10-2 record, 2.82 GAA and .901 save percentage through 22 outings this season. The Kraken have struggled lately, but they snapped their four-game losing streak in Vancouver on Saturday in a 5-2 victory. Seattle is tied for 23rd in the NHL with 2.83 goals per game and is 16-13-5 on home ice in 2025-26.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Practices Sunday

Pettersson (knee) was a full participant in Sunday's practice, and he expects to play against Florida on Tuesday, according to Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Pettersson left Saturday's 5-2 loss to Seattle after slamming into the boards. However, he declared himself good to go after Sunday's practice. Pettersson has two goals, eight points, 37 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and 105 hits over 56 appearances this season.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Out of lineup Sunday

Wennberg (upper body) did not take the ice for warmups and won't play Sunday against the Senators, the team announced.

Wennberg's absence comes as a bit of a surprise after he finished Saturday's game against the Canadiens and recorded an assist in 16:45 of ice time. The 31-year-old is in the midst of one of his best seasons, registering 43 points (13 goals, 30 assists) in 64 games. The Sharks will next be in action Tuesday in Edmonton, and it remains to be seen whether Wennberg will be available for that game.

  • Henry Thrun D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Henry Thrun: Summoned from AHL

Thrun was recalled from AHL Toronto on Sunday under emergency conditions.

Thrun has four goals and 20 points in 42 AHL appearances this season. He hasn't earned a point in four NHL outings this campaign while posting four shots on net, four blocked shots and three hits. With Oliver Ekman-Larsson (personal) unavailable to play against Minnesota on Sunday, Thrun will provide the Maple Leafs with some defensive depth. However, Thrun could be a healthy scratch against the Wild if Troy Stecher draws into the lineup

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Unavailable Sunday

Ekman-Larsson (personal) won't play against Minnesota on Sunday.

Ekman-Larsson has returned to Toronto for the birth of his child. He has produced eight goals, 35 points, 94 shots on net, 61 blocked shots and 75 hits across 65 appearances this season. Emberson (undisclosed) participated in the morning skate, but he won't play against Nashville on Sunday, per Jamie Umbach of the Oilers' official site.

Emberson has registered two goals, 12 points, 37 shots on net, 97 blocked shots and 88 hits across 60 appearances this season.
