  • Skyler Brind'Amour: No qualifying offer

Brind'Amour didn't receive a qualifying offer from Carolina on Monday, which means he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Brind'Amour notched 16 goals and 34 points in 68 regular-season outings with AHL Chicago in 2025-26 before adding two goals and four points in 21 appearances during the Calder Cup Playoffs. He didn't have a point in four NHL games with Carolina during the 2025-26 regular season.

  • Domenick Fensore: Doesn't receive qualifying offer

Fensore didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Hurricanes and will become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Fensore has seen minimal playing time for the Hurricanes across the past two campaigns, making just three regular-season appearances during that time. He spent most of his time with AHL Chicago across that span, and he racked up 10 goals, 25 assists and 37 PIM over 60 regular-season appearances in the minors during the 2025-26 campaign. He'll now attempt to seek out other opportunities during the offseason.

  • Canucks' Brendan Gallagher: Traded for future consideration

Gallagher was traded to Vancouver from Montreal on Monday, with the Canadiens retaining 50 percent of his salary, in exchange for future considerations, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Gallagher's departure is a pure salary dump for the Canadiens, who will be on the hook for just $3.25 million of his cap hit this year. With the rebuilding Canucks, the 34-year-old winger could see some more opportunities and will have a chance to get back over the 30-point threshold after missing that mark in 2025-26.

  • Joshua Roy RW | UTA

Mammoth's Joshua Roy: Obtained in trade

Utah acquired Roy from Montreal on Monday in exchange for Maksymilian Szuber, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Roy notched 23 goals and 45 points in 57 appearances for AHL Laval during the 2025-26 regular season. The 22-year-old forward has six goals and 11 points in 38 career NHL regular-season outings. Roy is a pending restricted free agent, and he isn't eligible to file for arbitration.

  • Nils Hoglander LW | NSH

Predators' Nils Hoglander: Sent to Music City

Hoglander (undisclosed) was acquired by Nashville on Monday from Vancouver in exchange for a 2029 third-round pick.

Hoglander becomes the latest addition to general manager Chris MacFarland's reshaped Predators roster, and free agency is still a few days away. The 25-year-old Hoglander was limited to just 38 regular-season games in 2025-26, generating two goals and three assists along the way. If he can get back to being the 2023-24 version of himself, Hoglander could push for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds this year.

  • Canadiens' Maksymilian Szuber: Traded to Montreal

Szuber was traded to the Canadiens from the Mammoth on Monday in exchange for Joshua Roy, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Szuber was recalled by the Mammoth on two occasions last year, but he didn't appear in any NHL games. He made 65 regular-season appearances with AHL Tucson and recorded 11 goals, 16 assists and 67 PIM. He made his NHL debut with a lone appearance during the 2023-24 campaign, and he'll get a change of scenery for the 2026-27 season. However, it seems likely that he'll spend most of his time in the minors.

  • Taylor Makar LW | COL

Avalanche's Taylor Makar: Inks two-year deal

Makar signed a two-year contract with Colorado on Monday.

Makar appeared in 12 games for the Avalanche in the 2025-26 regular season in which he notched 17 hits, seven shots and four PIM while averaging just 6:13 of ice time. He also produced 14 goals and 10 assists over 52 regular-season outings for AHL Colorado. While the 25-year-old winger should see more opportunities in 2026-27, he figures to remain around the fringes of the big club's roster.

  • Blue Jackets' Jack Williams: Lands two-year contract

Williams signed a two-year, two-way contract with Columbus on Monday, per PuckPedia.

Williams produced 15 goals and 38 points in 72 regular-season games for AHL Cleveland in 2025-26 before adding four assists and five points in nine playoff outings. The 24-year-old forward will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

  • Beck Malenstyn LW | BUF

Sabres' Beck Malenstyn: Re-signs with club

Malenstyn agreed to terms on a six-year, $17.5 million contract with Buffalo on Monday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.

Malenstyn registered a career-high seven goals in 2025-26, but was limited to just 14 points in 81 regular-season games, failing to reach the 20-point threshold for the second straight year. While the Sabres would certainly take some offensive contributions from the 28-year-old forward, his real value for the team and fantasy managers is his physicality, having racked up 282 hits last year, fifth-most in the NHL.

  • Golden Knights' Carl Lindbom: Re-ups with Vegas

Lindbom inked a three-year, $2.7 million contract extension with the Golden Knights on Sunday.

Lindbom went 2-4-2 with a 2.99 GAA and an .873 save percentage over eight regular-season appearances with Vegas in 2025-26. While he did not fare too well with the big club, the Swedish netminder was superb with AHL Henderson, posting a 24-5-5 record, .926 save percentage and 2.16 GAA across 35 regular-season games. Since Carter Hart and Adin Hill are both under contract for the 2026-27 campaign, Lindbom will likely spend the bulk of his time in the minors again.
