  • Senators' Drake Batherson: Scores in Thursday's loss

    Batherson scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

    Batherson has gotten on the scoresheet in six of the last seven games, earning three goals and three assists in that span. The top-six winger is providing consistency on offense and the power play while chipping in with hits as well. For the season, he has eight goals, 10 helpers, 43 shots on net, 31 hits, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating over 19 appearances, and seven of his 18 points have come on the power play.

  • Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Picks up helper in win

    Theodore logged an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and five blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

    Theodore ended a three-game slump by helping out on a Jack Eichel tally in the first period. The 29-year-old Theodore has a goal, 13 assists, 39 shots on net, 22 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 19 appearances. The defenseman has played a leading role on the Golden Knights' blue line and also features on the power play, though he'll occasionally have to fend off Noah Hanifin for a top-unit spot.

  • Golden Knights' Alexander Holtz: Registers assist

    Holtz notched an assist, three shots on goal, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

    Holtz ended a four-game slump with the helper. He's now up to eight points, 32 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-1 rating over 20 appearances this season. He's often played in a third-line role but got a look on the top line at times in Thursday's contest.

    Flyers' Cam York: Expected to return Saturday

    York (upper body) is slated to return to the lineup versus Chicago on Saturday, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports.

    York has missed the last 13 games after he was hit into the boards in the third period Oct. 24 against the Capitals. The 23-year-old blueliner has two goals and an assist in seven appearances this season. York had a breakout campaign in 2023-24, tallying 10 goals and adding 20 assists over 82 regular-season games.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Snags helper in win

    Hanifin logged an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

    Hanifin was briefly credited with two assists in the contest, but one of them was given to Alexander Holtz after the game. In either case, Hanifin snapped a six-game point drought by assisting on Brett Howden's second-period tally. Through 20 outings, Hanifin has nine points, 38 shots on net, 14 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating while seeing steady top-four minutes.

    Dorofeyev scored a goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

    Dorofeyev snapped a three-game slump with his third-period tally, which stood as the game-winner. He hasn't recorded an assist in 11 games, but he has six goals in that span. The winger is at 10 goals, three helpers, 57 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 20 appearances this season, serving primarily in a middle-six role with power-play time.

    Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Opens scoring in Thursday's win

    Eichel scored a goal on four shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

    Eichel had a six-game point streak snapped in Wednesday's shutout loss to the Maple Leafs. He bounced back quickly, scoring just 6:45 into the first period of Thursday's contest. Eichel is up to six tallies, 29 points, 60 shots on net and a plus-7 rating through 20 appearances this season. That's a pace that would see the 28-year-old earn the first 100-point campaign of his career if he can stay healthy and productive.

    Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Starting Saturday

    Talbot will defend the home crease versus Boston on Saturday, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press.

    Talbot has struggled slightly in his last two games, allowing eight goals on 74 shots (.894 save percentage). The 37-year-old netminder is 5-3-2 with a 2.67 GAA and a .920 save percentage over 11 appearances in 2024-25. The Bruins are the second-lowest scoring team in the NHL, averaging a paltry 2.33 goals per game.

    Predators' Adam Wilsby: Back in NHL

    Wilsby was recalled from AHL Milwaukee on Friday.

    Wilsby was sent down Wednesday, but it was just a paper move, as Milwaukee did not play. Wilsby was recalled when the Predators were on a three-game Western Canada swing over the last week, but he never made his NHL debut. Wilsby has had a goal and two assists over 11 AHL games this season.

    Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Not playing Sunday

    Head coach Craig Berube said Friday that Knies (upper body) is improving but will not play Sunday versus Utah, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

    Knies left Wednesday's game versus Vegas after taking a big hit, courtesy of Zach Whitecloud. The 22-year-old Knies has eight goals and 12 points in 20 games this season. It's not yet clear when the Maple Leafs expect him to return, but his next chance to do so will be Wednesday against Florida.
