Mikko Rantanen RW | DAL
Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Snags power-play helper
Rantanen notched a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Rantanen set up Matt Duchene on the opening goal. It's been a bit of a quiet stretch for Rantanen -- he had gone without a point in his previous two contests, and he missed two games due to an illness between those outings. For the season, the superstar winger is at 64 points (28 on the power play), 119 shots on net, 38 hits, 79 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 50 appearances.

Mattias Samuelsson D | BUF
Sabres' Mattias Samuelsson: Four-game, seven-assist streak
Samuelsson had three assistsin a 7-4 win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
Samuelsson has a four-game, seven-assist streak on the fly, which is impressive enough for a defender who's never put up more than 14 points in any season. However, Samuelsson also has more points on his run than star teammate Tage Thompson has on his current four-game streak (five points). Who knew Samuelsson would be a must-play fantasy defender?

Jason Robertson LW | DAL
Stars' Jason Robertson: Adds two power-play assists
Robertson notched two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
This was Robertson's third multi-point effort in the last four games. The 26-year-old winger has 16 points over 13 contests in January, raising his season totals to 30 goals, 32 assists, 192 shots on net, 31 hits and a plus-20 rating over 53 appearances. He's earned 26 of his points on the power play, and his improved numbers in that area have been the driving force behind his overall success this season.

Roope Hintz LW | DAL
Stars' Roope Hintz: Strikes on power play
Hintz scored a power-play goal on three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Hintz had picked up four assists over the previous three games, but his goal snapped a five-game stretch without scoring. The 29-year-old center continues to be steady on offense for the Stars -- he's earned three goals and seven assists over 13 outings in January, and that's arguably a bit of a down month for him. For the season, Hintz has 15 goals, 41 points (18 on the power play), 115 shots on net, 53 hits and a plus-17 rating across 48 appearances.

Tage Thompson C | BUF
Sabres' Tage Thompson: Dominant January continues
Thompson had a goal and an assist in a 7-4 victory over Toronto on Tuesday.
His scoring streak now stands at four games and five points, including three goals, and seven shots. Thompson been dominant in January. He has been held off the scoresheet just twice in 13 games, and he's scored eight goals and added 10 helpers. It's not Nikita Kucherov dominant, but it's impressive.

Thomas Harley D | DAL
Stars' Thomas Harley: One of each in win
Harley scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Harley ended a 16-game goal drought at a great time, scoring the decisive goal with 1:07 left in the third period. The 24-year-old defenseman has a pair of multi-point efforts over the last four games, so his offense may be starting to come around. He's up to three goals, 20 points, 63 shots on net, 94 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 41 outings this season, well behind the pace that earned him 50 points in 78 regular-season contests last year.
-
Matt Duchene C | DAL
Stars' Matt Duchene: Scores pair in win
Duchene scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Duchene has three goals over the last two games. He's earned nine points over 13 contests in January, which has helped him get his scoring pace on track. Duchene has a total of seven goals, 14 points, 41 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 28 appearances this season. He's in a middle-six role for now, but he would likely move up into a more prominent spot if a key forward became unavailable.
-
Jake Oettinger G | DAL
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Escapes with win
Oettinger stopped 23 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Blues.
Oettinger let a three-goal lead slip away in the third period, but Thomas Harley saved the day with a goal at 18:53 of the third period. This was Oettinger's third straight win, a span in which he's allowed seven goals on 66 shots. The 27-year-old netminder improved to 20-10-4 with a 2.66 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 34 starts overall. The Stars' road trip continues in Vegas on Thursday.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Best performance of career
Dahlin scored three goals and added two assists in a 7-4 win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
It was Dahlin's first NHL hat trick in a game that was perhaps the best one of his hockey career. It was just the eighth hat trick ever scored by a Sabres defender and the first against the vaunted Maple Leafs. Dahlin has had a difficult season personally, so this moment was special. He's now in a tie for eighth among NHL defenders with 42 points, including 11 goals, in 48 games.

Carter Verhaeghe C | FLA
Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Three-game, five-point streak
Verhaeghe scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-3 loss to Utah. He wired four shots on Vitek Vanecek.
Verhaeghe is on a modest, three-game, five-point scoring streak with eight shots and a plus-four rating. It's curious to note that the winger has just 115 shots in 51 games -- last season, Verhaeghe pelted the puck 242 times, although his shooting percentage (8.3) was stunningly low for a guy with a 13.5 percent career average. This season, he's on a projected 180-shot pace, his lowest since 2021-22.
