  • Islanders' Simon Holmstrom: Not available in Philadelphia

Holmstrom (illness) won't be an option for Monday's game in Philadelphia, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

Maxim Tsyplakov will replace Holmstrom in the lineup Monday. The 24-year-old Holmstrom's next chance to suit up will be in the first half of a back-to-back home-and-home set against the Rangers on Wednesday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Drawing start in Tampa Bay

Vejmelka will occupy the road crease against the Lightning on Monday.

Vejmelka is currently in peak form -- he's won eight games in a row while posting a 1.99 GAA and a .924 save percentage during that time. It'll be a tough matchup for the 29-year-old against one of the NHL's best teams, as Vejmelka has already been defeated by the Lightning this season, allowing three goals on 25 shots in a 4-2 home loss Nov. 2. Tampa Bay also ranks second in the league with 3.48 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Set to face Utah

Vasilevskiy will defend the home net Monday against the Mammoth, per Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site.

Vasilevskiy has won three consecutive outings after his eight-game winning streak was snapped in St. Louis on Jan. 16. The all-world netminder has allowed a total of just three goals on 62 shots (.952 save percentage) in wins over Dallas, San Jose and Chicago in his last three outings. Vasilevskiy will have a formidable task Monday against a Mammoth squad that has scored at least five goals in three straight contests and is riding a five-game winning streak.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Drawing home start Monday

Quick will defend the home crease against the Bruins on Monday, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Quick has struggled over the past month, going 0-6-1 with a 5.40 GAA and .801 save percentage over his last seven appearances, a stretch that includes a 10-2 loss to Boston on the road in which he allowed six goals on 20 shots (.700 save percentage). He's lost out on playing time recently, as he served as the backup for three of the Rangers' last four games. The Bruins are scoring 3.31 goals per game this year, which is tied for seventh in the NHL.

  • Flyers' Hunter McDonald: Sent to minors

McDonald was assigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday, per the NHL media site.

McDonald was recalled from the AHL on Jan. 17 but didn't make his NHL debut during his time with the Flyers. He should have more consistent playing time with Lehigh Valley, and he's recorded five assists, 61 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 33 appearances with the Phantoms this year.

  • Flyers' Rasmus Ristolainen: Removed from IR

Ristolainen (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Monday, per the NHL media site.

Following a six-game absence, Ristolainen appears ready to return to the lineup against the Islanders on Monday. He has collected three assists, 24 shots on goal, 24 blocked shots and 16 hits over 13 appearances this season.

  • Taylor Ward RW | LA

Kings' Taylor Ward: Inks two-year extension

Ward signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract extension with the Kings on Monday.

Ward has generated two goals, two assists, seven shots on net, three blocked shots and six hits in nine NHL appearances this season. The 27-year-old forward also has 12 tallies and 21 points in 32 AHL outings during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Tyler Kleven D | OTT

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Dishes two assists Sunday

Kleven posted two assists, two shots on goal, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.

Kleven logged his first multi-point outing since Dec. 2 versus the Canadiens. The 24-year-old defenseman has been a regular on the third pairing for much of this season. He's now at nine points -- one shy of matching his 79-game total in the 2024-25 regular season -- while adding 55 shots on net, 81 hits, 68 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 47 outings.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Adds two more assists

Chabot notched two assists in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.

Chabot has five helpers over his last five contests. The 28-year-old defenseman continues to be a decent source of offense as well as blocked shots and shots on goal in a top-four role for the Senators. He's at 21 points, 62 shots, 74 blocks, 26 hits and a plus-2 rating over 37 appearances this season.

  • Senators' Jordan Spence: Scores in blowout win

Spence scored a goal, added three hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 7-1 win over the Golden Knights.

Spence snapped a six-game point drought with his second-period tally. The 24-year-old defenseman is seeing steady time in a third-pairing role lately, keeping Nikolas Matinpalo in the press box most of the time. Spence is at four goals, 16 points, 60 shots on net, 30 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 43 outings. He has some scoring potential, but his usage is still fairly limited, which makes it tough to rely on him in fantasy.
