  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Keeps winning streak alive

Vejmelka stopped 25 of 29 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Flyers.

Vejmelka has been on fire of late and has won each of his last seven starts, and nine of his last 10 dating back to Dec. 21. Over that 10-game sample, Vejmelka has given up more than three goals just twice while posting a 2.29 GAA and an impressive .912 save percentage. Fantasy managers should continue to trust Vejmelka every time he steps on the ice, even if his winning streak looks bound to come to an end sooner rather than later.

  • Bobby Brink RW | MIN

Flyers' Bobby Brink: First goal since return

Brink scored a power-play goal in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Brink returned to action Jan. 19 after a six-game absence due to an upper-body injury, and this was his first goal since returning to the ice. The 24-year-old has now tied his career-best mark in scoring with 12 goals, and he should continue to find ways to produce as long as he stays in a top-six role.

  • Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Scores twice in OT loss

Dvorak recorded two goals, including one on the power play, and an assist in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Dvorak snapped a four-game pointless skid with a three-point effort, and this was his first multi-point outing since Dec. 11, when he recorded two assists in a loss to the Golden Knights. Dvorak is on the verge of posting career-best numbers in his first year with the Flyers. He's up to 33 points (12 goals, 20 assists) in 48 games, and his previous career-best mark was 38 points in the 2019-20 campaign.

  • Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Beaten five times Wednesday

Ersson stopped 22 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Ersson was beaten twice in the second period, twice more in the third, and later midway through overtime. He's been slumping of late and has lost in four of his six outings in January, going 1-3-1 with a 4.30 GAA and a disappointing .828 save percentage. With Dan Vladar (lower body) nearing a return to action, Ersson will likely lose his starting role, and fantasy managers would be wise to look at other options between the pipes, given how much the 26-year-old Swede has been struggling in recent weeks.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Beaten once in shootout loss

Wedgewood stopped 16 of 17 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Wedgewood has posted a 3-2-1 record in six appearances in January, but he's been far better than his record indicates. He's yet to allow more than three goals in any of those outings and has posted a save percentage above the .900 mark four times. Fantasy managers should continue to trust him every time he's tabbed to start regardless of the opposition.

  • Avalanche's Artturi Lehkonen: Pots goal Wednesday

Lehkonen scored a goal in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Lehkonen has been a bit inconsistent when it comes to his scoring numbers, but he managed to find the twine in back-to-back contests for the first time since early December. The 30-year-old winger is up to 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) so far this season.

  • Jeffrey Viel LW | ANA

Ducks' Jeffrey Viel: Scores vs. Colorado

Viel scored a goal in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Avalanche.

Viel has played just three games with the Ducks but is already making his presence felt after scoring in back-to-back games. That said, his fantasy upside will remain fairly low as long as he continues to play in a bottom-six role.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Delivers 40-save performance

Dostal stopped 40 of 41 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Avalanche.

Dostal played a key role in the shootout win Wednesday, and he was only beaten by a snap shot from Artturi Lehkonen in the third frame. Dostal has posted a save percentage of at least .925 in three of his last four starts and owns a 2.69 GAA, as well as a 4-3-0 record and a .910 save percentage, across eight outings in January.

  • Tom Wilson RW | WAS

Capitals' Tom Wilson: Snags helper in return

Wilson registered a power-play assist in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.

Wilson missed the previous eight games due to a lower-body injury. He wasn't eased in, logging 20:20 of ice time in this contest, though he wasn't quite as physical as usual. The 31-year-old winger is up to 22 goals, 21 helpers, 98 shots on net, 111 hits, 59 PIM and a plus-21 rating through 42 appearances this season. He should be good to handle a top-six role moving forward.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Capitals' John Carlson: Reaches 600-assist mark in career

Carlson logged two helpers, four shots on goal and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.

With the effort, Carlson became the 21st blueliner in NHL history to earn 600 assists. He achieved the milestone in his 1,135th game. He's done good work recently with a goal and 10 helpers over his last nine outings. For the season, the 36-year-old is at 40 points (eight on the power play), 100 shots on net, 67 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 47 contests.
