  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: First goalie off Tuesday

Saros will defend the home cage versus the Sabres on Tuesday, per Max Herz of 102.5 The Game Nashville.

Saros is coming off back-to-back wins against two of the league's highest-scoring opponents in the Oilers and Avalanche. The Finnish netminder made a total of 68 saves on 74 shots in those victories. Saros started the season 7-9-3 with a 3.08 GAA, but since the beginning of December, he is 12-6-0 with a .908 save percentage, which has helped the Predators get back into the playoff conversation. The Sabres are 2-2-1 in their last five games, a stretch in which they have netted 18 goals.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Scores, assists Monday

DeAngelo recorded a goal, an assist, three shots, two hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

DeAngelo continues to produce despite being a blueliner, and this was the third time he's recorded a multi-point performance over his last seven contests. The 30-year-old defenseman has picked things up of late after a slow start to the campaign and is up to 21 points (three goals, 18 assists) in 49 games this season. He could be within reach of the 40-point plateau if he's able to sustain this production in the coming weeks.

  • Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Two more helpers Monday

Schaefer recorded two assists in Monday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Schaefer has posted two assists in back-to-back games, and the 18-year-old continues to make a strong candidacy to win the Calder Trophy. He's cracked the scoresheet in six of his nine outings since the beginning of January, tallying nine points, a plus-1 rating, 16 shots, four hits and nine blocked shots. The 18-year-old blueliner ranks third in points among rookies with 34, trailing only Ivan Demidov and Beckett Sennecke.

  • Islanders' Anthony Duclair: Scores two goals Monday

Duclair scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Monday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Duclair has been playing at a high level in recent weeks and could be considered a player worth targeting in most formats now that he holds a top-six role in the Isles' lineup. Duclair has recorded nine points (seven goals, two assists) and a plus-7 rating in seven games since the beginning of January, and he should continue to get looks on offense as he'll aim to take advantage of what has been his most prolific stretch of the campaign.

  • Evander Kane LW | VAN

Canucks' Evander Kane: Pots goal vs. NYI

Kane scored a goal, took five shots and recorded four hits in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.

Kane has scored twice in his last five games, but the 34-year-old hasn't been able to find the back of the net with any sort of consistency. The veteran has only three points in 10 games in January, so his fantasy upside should be close to minimal. That shouldn't be much of a surprise considering the struggles the Canucks have gone through, as they've lost 11 games in a row (0-9-2).

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Senators' James Reimer: Slated for second straight start

Reimer will defend the road crease in Tuesday's game against the Blue Jackets, per Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.

Reimer will look to build off a decent debut, where he helped earn the Senators a point in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss in Detroit. With Leevi Merilainen sent down to the AHL on Tuesday, Reimer will likely be viewed as the No. 1 option between the pipes for Ottawa until Linus Ullmark (personal) returns to action. Tuesday's game has Reimer pitted against the Blue Jackets, who rank 20th in the league with 2.98 goals per game.

  • Dryden Hunt LW | CGY

Flames' Dryden Hunt: Optioned to AHL

Hunt was assigned to AHL Calgary on Tuesday.

The Flames recalled Martin Pospisil (undisclosed) from his conditioning assignment with the Wranglers in a corresponding transaction. Hunt hasn't produced a point over three appearances in the NHL this season, but he's generated 31 points (11 goals, 20 helpers) across 26 appearances in the minors.

  • Flames' Martin Pospisil: Back from conditioning loan

Pospisil (undisclosed) was recalled from his conditioning loan with AHL Calgary on Tuesday.

Pospisil didn't earn a point in two appearances during his minor-league stint. He remains on long-term injured reserve for now, and it's unclear when he will make his 2025-26 debut with the Flames after getting hurt during the preseason.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Earns win over Vancouver

Sorokin stopped 29 of 32 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Canucks.

Sorokin returned to the Isles' crease after not playing in the 4-2 loss to the Flames on Jan. 17, but his return lifted the Islanders to another win. The 30-year-old netminder has won four of his last five starts while posting a save percentage of at least .905 in each of those four wins. He's been excellent since being activated from injured reserve Jan. 2, going 4-1-0 with a 2.22 GAA, a .935 save percentage and two shutouts in five outings.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Losing streak continues

Lankinen stopped 28 of 32 shots in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.

Lankinen has gone six straight appearances without a win, going 0-4-1 with a 3.38 GAA and an .890 save percentage over that stretch. Lankinen and the Canucks have been massively outplayed in most games in recent weeks, so it's hard to trust Lankinen in any format right now. The 30-year-old also owns a career-worst .886 save percentage through his 25 appearances this season while posting a 6-14-4 record and a 3.40 GAA.
