Colton White was sent to the minors in a corresponding move after clearing waivers. Hameenaho has nine goals and 21 points in 33 AHL appearances in 2025-26. The 21-year-old hasn't made his NHL debut yet, but he might suit up Saturday versus Carolina. However, it's also possible New Jersey will opt to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen, or insert Juho Lammikko into the lineup.

Canadiens' Jake Evans: Off injured reserve
Evans (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Despite being described as a game-time decision for Saturday's clash against Ottawa, Evans appears ready to return to the lineup. He hasn't played since Dec. 20 due to the injury. Evan is likely to serve in a middle-six capacity, and his return might result in Sammy Blais being a healthy scratch versus the Senators.

Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Facing Oilers
Tolopilo will patrol the home crease against Edmonton on Saturday, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Kevin Lankinen is a little under the weather, but he will serve as Tolopilo's backup. The 25-year-old Tolopilo has a 2-2-0 record at the NHL level this campaign while surrendering 15 goals on 142 shots in five appearances. Edmonton ranks sixth in the league with 3.31 goals per game this season, but loses some offensive firepower with Leon Draisaitl (personal) unavailable to play.

Ristolainen (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Ristolainen missed his third straight game against Buffalo on Saturday. He also won't be available for Philadelphia's upcoming three-game road trip, which begins Monday versus Vegas, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has three assists, 24 shots on goal, 24 blocked shots and 16 hits in 13 appearances this season.

Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Won't start after all
Lankinen won't start in Saturday's home game against Edmonton despite being the first goaltender off the ice following the morning skate. The netminder is dealing with an illness, but he'll still dress as the backup goaltender, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Nikita Tolopilo will get the start instead. Lankinen has a 6-13-4 record, 3.36 GAA and .887 save percentage in 24 appearances in 2025-26. His next chance to start will come at home against the Islanders on Monday.

Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Set to face Vancouver
Jarry is expected to start on the road against Vancouver on Saturday, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Jarry has a 12-3-2 record, 2.80 GAA and .903 save percentage in 18 outings between Pittsburgh and Edmonton this season. He stopped 23 of 27 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime loss to Nashville on Tuesday. Vancouver ranks 28th in goals per game with 2.60 this season, and the Canucks are 0-7-2 over their last nine games.

Wolf will be looking for his first win of the calendar year -- he's 0-5-0 with a 4.05 GAA and an .883 save percentage across his past five appearances. The 24-year-old netminder has a 14-19-2 record, 3.00 GAA and .898 save percentage in 36 outings this season. The Islanders are 7-3-1 over their past 10 games and have averaged 3.00 goals per game over that stretch.

Schmid is expected to start at home against Nashville on Saturday, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic.
Schmid has a 14-4-5 record, 2.47 GAA and .896 save percentage in 24 appearances in 2025-26. He's won his past three outings while stopping 61 of 67 shots (.910 save percentage) over that span. This will be his second clash against the Predators in 2025-26 after he allowed four goals on 19 shots en route to a 4-2 loss to Nashville on Dec. 31. The Predators have been strong since a 6-12-4 start to the campaign, going 17-8-0 over their past 25 games.

Englund was reassigned to AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.
After being recalled from the minors, Englund was a healthy scratch in Friday's 7-3 win over Colorado. He hasn't seen any NHL action yet during the 2025-26 campaign. Englund has two goals, four assists and 44 PIM in 30 AHL outings this season.
