  • Penguins' Alexander Alexeyev: Back in NHL

    Alexeyev was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Thursday, per Dave Molinari of Pittsburgh Hockey Now.

    Alexeyev had three goals and seven points in 29 AHL games this season. He is expected to be an extra defenseman for the Penguins. Pittsburgh sent Ryan Graves to the AHL on a conditioning stint in a corresponding move.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Back in net Thursday

    Oettinger was the first goalie off the ice at Thursday's morinng skate, indicating he'll draw the home start against the Oilers, per Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine.

    Oettinger is in line to start his second consecutive game after posting a 26-save victory over the Golden Knights on Tuesday. He has excelled since the Olympic break with a 3-0-1 record, a 1.95 GAA and a .918 save percentage across his last four starts. Overall, he has a 26-10-5 record, a 2.65 GAA and an .899 save percentage across 41 outings this season. He'll look to carry his momentum into a difficult matchup with the Oilers, who rank second in the NHL with 3.55 goals per game this season.

    Penguins' Ryan Graves: On conditioning stint

    Graves was sent to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on a conditioning stint Thursday, Dave Molinari of Pittsburgh Hockey Now reports.

    Graves has played only twice since Dec. 14 and has been a healthy scratch in 11 straight games. He could see AHL action for up to two weeks before he must return to the Penguins. Graves has one goal in 19 NHL games this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Between pipes Thursday

    Merzlikins will patrol the visiting crease in Florida on Thursday, according to Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

    Merzlikins will make his second straight start after stopping 16 shots in a 5-2 win in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Merzlikins is 13-9-2 with a 3.47 GAA and an .884 save percentage over 26 appearances this season. The Panthers are 19th in NHL scoring, averaging 2.98 goals per contest.

  • Predators' Massimo Rizzo: Headed to Music City

    Rizzo and Dalton Bancroft were traded to Nashville from Boston on Thursday in exchange for Navrin Mutter, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.

    Just under a week after Rizzo returned to Boston's organization, the Bruins dealt him to the Predators' organization Thursday. The 24-year-old forward has spent most of his time in the ECHL this season, but he could either join ECHL Atlanta or AHL Milwaukee, depending on necessity.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Patrolling paint Thursday

    Hellebuyck will start Thursday's home matchup against the Rangers, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

    Hellebuyck went through his usual starting routine Thursday with Dylan Samberg, indicating that he'll draw his seventh consecutive start. He's been a bright spot for the Jets since the Olympic break, posting a 3-1-2 record, a 2.46 GAA and a .915 save percentage across his last six games. The 32-year-old netminder will look to stay hot against a Rangers offense that ranks 26th with 2.75 goals per game, but enters Thursday's contest with momentum after Alexis Lafreniere's hat trick Tuesday. Despite New York's recent success, Hellebuyck profiles as a high-level start in all fantasy formats Thursday.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Starting Thursday

    Wallstedt will patrol the home crease versus Philadelphia on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

    Wallstedt will make his second start in the last three games, after giving up two goals on 36 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss in Colorado on Sunday. Wallstedt is 14-6-5 with four shutouts, a 2.81 GAA and a .911 save percentage across 26 contests this season. The Flyers are 25th in NHL scoring, producing 2.81 goals per game.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Tending twine Thursday

    Markstrom will patrol the home paint in Thursday's game against the Flames, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

    Markstrom is set to appear in his seventh consecutive contest during Thursday's clash, which is every game he has been available for since the Olympic break. During his six outings since the Olympics, he has a 4-2-0 record, a 2.32 GAA and a .912 save percentage. He'll look to continue his strong stretch of play when New Jersey plays host to the Flames, who were kept off the scoresheet by the Rangers in their most recent contest. Markstrom is slated to be a strong play across all fantasy formats Thursday.

  • Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Called up from AHL

    Chernyshov was recalled from AHL San Jose on Thursday.

    Chernyshov had three goals and eight assists in 15 NHL games earlier in the campaign. The 20-year-old tallied 13 goals and 20 assists in 41 AHL contests before his recall. Chernyshov could replace William Eklund (lower body) who is questionable Thursday.

  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Shelved for Thursday's game

    Verhaeghe (undisclosed) will miss Thursday's home matchup against the Blue Jackets, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

    Verhaeghe is in line to miss just his second game of the season and first since the Olympic break. Overall, the 30-year-old winger has 19 goals, 46 points, 150 shots on net and 56 hits across 63 games this season. In his absence, Vinnie Hinostroza is a candidate to play as a winger in Thursday's contest. Verhaeghe's next shot to play is in Sunday's road clash against the Kraken.
