    Cooley will look to bounce back in Saturday's clash after he allowed five goals in a relief appearance against Colorado on Monday. Overall, the 28-year-old goaltender has a 9-9-5 record, a 2.62 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 28 appearances this season. He'll have a much more favorable matchup Saturday against the Ducks, who are limping into the weekend slate with four consecutive losses. Cooley is a strong candidate to make a spot start in deep fantasy leagues.

    Rondbjerg (lower body) was assigned to AHL Henderson on March 26.

    Rondbjerg had been out since Feb. 1 due to an injury and has played in two games for AHL Henderson since returning to the minors. He has 12 goals and 23 points in 37 AHL appearances this season.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Tending twine Saturday

    DeSmith will patrol the home crease in Saturday's game against the Avalanche, per Robert Tiffin of D Magazine.

    DeSmith will look to get back on track in Saturday's clash after losing each of his last four appearances. Overall, the 34-year-old netminder has a 14-7-6 record, a 2.38 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 28 outings this season. He'll have his work cut out for him Saturday against the Avalanche, who currently lead the NHL with 3.78 goals per game this season. DeSmith should be extra motivated in the contest, however, as he is just one win shy of tying his career high of 15, which he has posted twice across his eight-year NHL career.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Tending twine Saturday

    Askarov will guard the home cage versus Nashville on Saturday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

    Askarov has won his last two starts, stopping 50 of the 57 shots he has faced. He is 21-17-3 with a 3.52 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 43 outings this season. The Predators are generating 2.93 goals per game, which ranks 19th in the NHL this campaign.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Slated to start Saturday

    Bussi is expected to protect the home net against the Islanders on Saturday, per Walt Ruff and Peter Dewar of the Hurricanes' official site.

    Myers will sit out his third straight game. The 36-year-old blueliner has two assists in 11 games with the Stars after a trade from Vancouver, where he managed one goal and eight points in 57 appearances. The Stars will dress seven defensemen and 11 forwards in Saturday's contest, with Ilya Lyubushkin remaining in the lineup due to Myers' absence, and Alex Petrovic replacing Kyle Capobianco.

    Ducks' Tyson Hinds: Recalled from AHL

    Hinds was called up from AHL San Diego on Saturday.

    Hinds will provide the Ducks with a depth option while Pavel Mintyukov (lower body) and Radko Gudas (lower body) deal with injuries. Hinds had five goals, 14 assists and a plus-16 rating over 62 AHL games prior to his recall.
