    Rangers' Noah Laba: Game-time call for Sunday

    Laba (lower body) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's clash with Florida, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

    Laba was injured March 18, and it was deemed at that time that he would be week-to-week. His recovery has been quicker than anticipated, and he could return as early as Sunday. Laba has nine goals, 12 assists, 98 hits, 42 blocked shots and five power-play points over 65 games in his rookie season.

    Canadiens' Jacob Fowler: Slated to start

    Fowler is expected to defend the road net against Nashville on Saturday after being the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

    During his last outing, Fowler stopped 19 shots in a 7-3 win over the Islanders on March 21. He has a 6-5-2 record with one shutout, a 2.72 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 13 NHL appearances this season. Nashville sits 19th in the league with 2.96 goals per game during the 2025-26 campaign.

    Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Out of action Saturday

    Reinhart (foot) won't play Saturday against the Islanders, according to Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site.

    Reinhart will miss his seventh straight game, and it remains unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. He has 29 goals and 32 assists, including 25 points on the power play, over 64 contests this season.

    Thomson (lower body) is expected to play against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

    Following a two-game absence, Thomson will skate alongside Carter Yakemchuk on Ottawa's third pairing against the Lightning on Saturday. During his NHL season debut, the 25-year-old Thomson had two shots on goal in 4:25 of ice time against the Rangers on March 23 before getting hurt.

    Lightning's Nick Paul: Not available Saturday

    Paul (illness) has been ruled out of Saturday's home tilt versus Ottawa, per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.

    Paul has been slumping offensively, tallying one goal and one assist in his last 17 games. He also missed 11 outings during that stretch due to a lower-body injury that put him on long-term injured reserve. Overall, Paul has six goals and seven assists over 41 appearances this season.

  • Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Not playing Saturday

    Kucherov (illness) won't play against Ottawa on Saturday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

    Kucherov and Nick Paul (illness) were late scratches for the Lightning ahead of Saturday's matchup. The 32-year-old Kucherov has amassed 40 goals, 121 points and 205 shots on net across 67 appearances this season. Kucherov will miss at least one game, but it's unclear if he will be available to play against Nashville on Sunday.

    Reimer will patrol the visiting crease in Tampa Bay on Saturday, Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site reports.

    Reimer has been solid in goal for Ottawa this season, posting a 6-3-1 record with a 2.32 GAA and an .884 save percentage over 10 games. The Lightning, who will be without Nikita Kucherov (illness) and Nick Paul (illness), are averaging 3.61 goals per game, second in the league this season.

    Wolf will protect the home net against Vancouver on Saturday, per Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.

    Wolf is coming off a 23-save performance in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Kings. He has a 21-25-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.95 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 51 appearances this season. Vancouver sits 31st in the 2025-26 campaign with 2.49 goals per game.

    Othmann was summoned from AHL Calgary on Saturday.

    Othmann has yet to play for the Flames since his March 6 trade from the Rangers. He had five assists in 10 AHL games with the Wranglers after he tallied eight goals and eight assists in 26 games with AHL Hartford before the trade. Othmann had one goal in 17 games with the Rangers this season, which was his first NHL marker in 42 career games.

He is 23-12-7 with a 2.43 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 44 appearances this season. The Red Wings will be a tired team after defeating Buffalo 5-2 on Friday.
