  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Outdueled in Thursday's loss

Oettinger turned aside 23 shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Islanders.

The 27-year-old netminder played well, but Ilya Sorokin was just a little bit better in the other crease. Oettinger has allowed two goals or fewer in eight of 10 outings since the Olympic break as he gears up for the playoffs, going 6-1-2 over that stretch with a 2.20 GAA and .915 save percentage.

  • Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Provides late spark in loss

Tkachuk scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

Both points came in the third period as Tkachuk led a rally from a 2-0 deficit, but the comeback fell short thanks to Joel Eriksson Ek's tally with just five seconds left in regulation. It was Tkachuk's fifth multi-point performance in March, and through 12 games on the month he's racked up five goals and 15 points.

  • Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Takes third straight loss

Tarasov stopped 47 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Wild.

The 27-year-old netminder did everything he could to keep Florida in the game as he faced a season-high 50 shots, but Tarasov couldn't corral a rebound late, leading to Joel Eriksson Ek's game-winner with just five seconds left in the third period. Tarasov has lost three straight starts and has only one win in his last eight outings, going 1-7-0 with a 4.04 GAA and .881 save percentage.

  • Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Pots game-winner Thursday

Eriksson Ek scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over Florida.

The Wild nearly squandered a 2-0 lead in the third period, but Eriksson Ek banged home a rebound with five seconds left on the clock to salvage the win. The 29-year-old center snapped a 10-game goal drought in the process, and on the season he's delivered 18 goals and 45 points in 64 contests with 181 shots on net, 95 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-13 rating.

  • Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Back in win column

Wallstedt made 18 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Panthers.

The 23-year-old netminder took a shutout into the third period, but goals by Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron Ekblad tied things up before Joel Eriksson Ek bailed Wallstedt out with five seconds left in regulation. It was Wallstedt's 15th win of the season but his first since Jan. 31, snapping a seven-outing stretch in which he'd gone 0-3-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .903 save percentage.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Secures third straight 20-goal year

Cirelli scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kraken.

Cirelli got the Lightning on the board in the first period, tying the game at 1-1. This was his fifth goal and ninth point over the last six games, and it was his 20th tally of the campaign. He's reached that threshold in each of the last three years as he establishes himself as a quality second-line center in his prime years. He's at 49 points, 113 shots on net, 45 hits, 38 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-32 rating over 63 outings this season. With the surge he's on lately, securing a second straight 50-point campaign should be no trouble.

  • Shane Wright C | SEA

Kraken's Shane Wright: Sets up game-winner

Wright recorded an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.

Wright hasn't scored in 15 games since play resumed following the Olympics, and he's averaging 14:08 of ice time with four assists and 12 shots on net in that span. The 22-year-old was lowest among Kraken forwards with 10:56 of ice time in this contest. Wright is now at 26 points, 96 shots on net, 57 blocked shots, 50 hits and a plus-6 rating over 71 appearances. His defensive skills are coming along fine, but he'll need to chip in more offense before he can be a factor in most fantasy formats.

  • Nick Cousins C | OTT

Senators' Nick Cousins: Scores in shootout loss

Cousins scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins.

Cousins hadn't scored since Feb. 5, picking up just four assists over his first 14 contests since the Olympic break. The 32-year-old hit the net at 1:50 of the second period to put the Senators ahead 2-1. Cousins is up to nine goals, matching his highest total in the last six years. He's added 12 helpers, 66 shots on net, 152 hits, 78 PIM and 34 blocked shots over 71 appearances in a bottom-six role for the Senators this season.

  • Kings' Mikey Anderson: Pockets pair of helpers

Anderson logged two assists, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Canucks.

Anderson set up Trevor Moore in the second period and Quinton Byfield on the empty-netter in the third. This ended a four-game slump for Anderson, who has done pretty well in March with two goals and six assists over 13 outings. The 26-year-old defenseman rarely plays a big part on offense, instead focusing on his own zone in a shutdown role. He has 17 points, 56 shots on net, 95 hits, 114 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 70 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Scott Laughton: Buries power-play tally

Laughton scored a power-play goal on five shots in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Canucks.

Laughton had gone eight games without a goal, picking up just one assist in that span. The 31-year-old center has retained a power-play role throughout the slump, which is a good sign for his production down the stretch, though he won't be a leader on offense. He's now at 11 goals, 17 points, 75 shots on net, 101 hits, 35 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 54 appearances between the Kings and the Maple Leafs this season.
