  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Earns 28-save shutout

Vejmelka recorded a 28-save shutout in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.

Vejmelka snapped a three-game skid with his second shutout of the season. The Mammoth provided a quick 3-0 lead in the first period, which was plenty of support. Vejmelka is up to 31-18-3 with a 2.67 GAA and an .898 save percentage over a league-leading 53 starts. He's five games away from matching his workload from last season, and he already has a career high in wins. The Mammoth are back in action Friday at home versus the Ducks, which will likely be a start for Vitek Vanecek.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Strong in relief appearance

Schmid stopped all 14 shots he faced in relief of Adin Hill in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Mammoth.

The Mammoth did get an empty-netter to seal the deal, but Schmid was sharp in his first game action since March 6. Hill was in his sixth straight start before getting pulled 8:12 into Thursday's contest. Schmid remains at 16-9-6 on the year with a 2.54 GAA and an .895 save percentage over 33 appearances. Both goalies should get a look this weekend -- the Golden Knights visit the Predators on Saturday and the Stars on Sunday.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Makes no saves in loss

Hill didn't stop any of the three shots he faced in Thursday's 4-0 loss to the Mammoth.

Hill was pulled after 8:12 of game time, allowing two goals to Clayton Keller and Jack McBain. This was Hill's season-high sixth straight start, which may have played a role in his performance, though the Golden Knights didn't give him any support. Hill is down to 8-8-3 with a 3.08 GAA and an .869 save percentage over 21 starts this season. Both Hill and Akira Schmid should get a look over the weekend in a back-to-back as the Golden Knights visit Nashville on Saturday and Dallas on Sunday.

  • Marco Rossi C | VAN

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Dishes pair of helpers

Rossi notched two assists and three hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.

Rossi has three goals and six assists during a four-game point streak, with three of those outings going for multiple points. The 24-year-old center has grown comfortable in a second-line role and also has a share of power-play time. Rossi has earned 27 points, 50 shots on net, 29 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 36 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild this season.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Pots goal in loss

Karlsson scored a goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.

Karlsson has remained fairly productive in March with two goals and four assists over nine outings this month. He got the Canucks within two goals in the third period, but Anthony Cirelli and Brandon Hagel quickly answered with tallies of their own. Karlsson is up to 13 goals, 30 points, 95 shots on net, 76 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-20 rating through 65 appearances in his first full NHL campaign.

  • Liam Ohgren LW | VAN

Canucks' Liam Ohgren: Buries goal in Thursday's loss

Ohgren scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.

Ohgren has two goals and two assists over his last six outings. He's seen time on the second line lately, though a continued lack of power-play usage will limit his offense on a low-scoring team. Through 55 appearances between the Canucks and the Wild, Ohgren has seven goals, 14 points, 75 shots on net, 60 hits and a minus-5 rating.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: On hook for six goals

Lankinen stopped 24 of 30 shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Lightning.

Lankinen was left in to face the whole barrage. The Lightning ran away with the game with a quick start to the second period to stretch their lead to 4-0. Lankinen won his previous start, but he's 1-8-1 over his last 12 outings with at least four goals allowed in six of those games. For the season, he's at an 8-22-5 record with a 3.67 GAA and an .875 save percentage across 38 appearances. Lankinen and Nikita Tolopilo are sharing the goaltending duties to close out the year for the Canucks, with the team's next game being Saturday versus the Blues.

  • Lightning's Pontus Holmberg: Gathers helper in win

Holmberg notched an assist in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Holmberg helped out on Yanni Gourde's goal in the second period, which stood as the game-winner. The 27-year-old Holmberg has little upside on offense -- this assist was just his third in 12 games since the Olympic break. He's at a career-high 20 points through 60 outings while adding 56 hits, 29 blocked shots, 74 shots on net and a plus-3 rating from a bottom-six role.

  • Erik Cernak D | TB

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Offers pair of helpers

Cernak notched two assists in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Cernak snapped a nine-game point drought with the rare multi-point effort, his first such performance this season. The 28-year-old blueliner is at nine points, 37 shots on net, 84 hits, 79 blocked shots, 52 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 46 outings. Cernak continues to fill a bottom-four role as a physical shutdown defenseman.

  • Lightning's Yanni Gourde: Lights lamp Thursday

Gourde scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Gourde has scored twice over the last three games. The 34-year-old continues to play in a third-line role, so he may have some ups and downs on offense for a team where the starpower carries the scoring. Gourde is up to nine goals, 25 points, 95 shots on net, 92 hits, 58 PIM, 25 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating across 67 appearances.
