  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Tending twine Friday

Tolopilo will be between the visiting pipes in Chicago on Friday, according to Dan Murphy of Sportsnet.

Tolopilo is 3-5-2 with a 3.27 GAA and a .901 save percentage across 12 appearances this season. The Blackhawks are averaging 2.62 goals per game this season, 27th in the NHL.

  • Sam Bennett C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Tallies on power play in loss

Bennett scored a power-play goal on four shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Bennett has four goals and two assists over five games since the Olympics. His personal uptick in offense hasn't helped the Panthers that much -- they've won just once in that span. For the season, Bennett is at 23 goals, 48 points (12 on the power play), 163 shots on net, 107 hits and 72 PIM over 62 appearances. He's likely to set career highs in most scoring categories.

  • Egor Zamula D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Egor Zamula: Notches helper Thursday

Zamula had an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Panthers.

Zamula is filling in while the Blue Jackets are missing Zach Werenski (illness). This was Zamula's third straight game in the lineup, and the helper was his first since Jan. 17 versus the Penguins. The defenseman has accumulated just three assists with 15 shots on net, 33 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 26 contests between Columbus and Philadelphia this season.

  • Avery Hayes RW | PIT

Penguins' Avery Hayes: Sent down Friday

Hayes was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.

The decision to demote Hayes could be a temporary move designed to make him eligible for the AHL postseason. In six NHL games this year, the 23-year-old winger has notched two goals, 11 shots and six hits while averaging 11:38 of ice time. Barring a late deadline addition, Hayes will likely be brought back up from the minors ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Flyers.

  • Boone Jenner C | CLB

Blue Jackets' Boone Jenner: Scores game-winner

Jenner scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Panthers.

Jenner's tally at 1:41 of the third period stood as the game-winner. He had missed the Blue Jackets' previous contest due to a lower-body injury, and he had gone 13 games before that without a goal. Jenner has nine goals, 28 points, 95 shots on net, 100 hits and 45 blocked shots over 46 appearances this season, filling a versatile role for Columbus.

  • Sharks' Alex Nedeljkovic: Facing St. Louis

Nedeljkovic will defend the home cage versus St. Louis on Friday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Nedeljkovic, who signed a two-year contract extension worth $6 million earlier in the day, will aim for his 12th win of the season. He has a 2.83 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 26 appearances this season. The Blues are generating 2.59 goals per game, 28th in the NHL.

  • Evander Kane LW | VAN

Canucks' Evander Kane: Still sidelined versus Hawks

Kane (illness) will not be in action against Chicago on Friday, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reports.

Kane will miss his second straight game due to his illness, though it's possible he's also being held out for roster management purposes. In 59 games this year, the veteran winger has notched 11 goals and 16 assists, including six power-play points. With Kane out, recent call-up Ty Mueller could make his 2025-26 season debut.

  • Troy Terry RW | ANA

Ducks' Troy Terry: Won't return Friday

Terry (upper body) will not be in the lineup versus Montreal on Friday, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.

Terry will miss his fifth straight game due to his lingering upper-body problem. In fact, injuries have cost the Denver native 15 of the Ducks' last 18 outings. When healthy, Terry has been solidly productive, notching 45 points in his 46 outings. Once given the all-clear, Terry should push to reclaim a top-six role.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Starting against Montreal

Dostal will defend the home crease against the Canadiens on Friday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Dostal got the night off in the second half of a back-to-back set Wednesday against the Islanders, but he'll return to the crease Friday for the eighth time in the Ducks' last nine games. He's picked up wins in 11 of his 13 appearances dating back to mid-January, going 11-2-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .910 save percentage during that time. He'll face a formidable opponent Friday, as the Canadiens rank third in the league with 3.52 goals per game this year.

  • Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Done for season

Janmark (undisclosed) underwent season-ending surgery, per Mark Spector of Sportsnet on Friday.

Janmark was injured in the first period Feb. 25 in Anaheim and did not return. He managed one goal and seven assists in 43 games with the Oilers this season. He is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp in September.
