Jared Wright RW | LA
Kings' Jared Wright: Gets two goals in AHL return
Wright scored twice in AHL Ontario's 4-1 win over Tucson on Wednesday.
Wright was demoted from the Kings' roster earlier in the day, but he looks motivated to work his way back to the NHL. The 23-year-old reached the 30-point mark in the AHL with this effort, a mark he reached in 54 contests. Wright made his NHL debut Monday, and even if he doesn't get back to the big club this season, he should get a long look in the fall during training camp.

Curtis Lazar C | EDM
Oilers' Curtis Lazar: Lands on LTIR
Lazar (undisclosed) was placed on long-term injured reserve Wednesday, per PuckPedia.
Lazar was already ruled out for four weeks, so this move doesn't impact his return timeline. It does free up the cap space the Oilers needed to accommodate their acquisitions of Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach in Wednesday's trade with the Blackhawks. Lazar shouldn't be expected back until early April, and if his recovery stalls out, he may be held out until the playoffs.

Bryce Pickford D | MON
Canadiens' Bryce Pickford: Crosses 40-goal mark with hattie
Pickford scored three goals on eight shots in WHL Medicine Hat's 6-3 win over Brandon on Wednesday.
Pickford is up to 41 goals and 76 points in just 49 appearances this season. He has eight goals and six assists over seven games since he returned from a month-long absence. Pickford has been incredible all season, and the Canadiens prospect earned his entry-level deal in December, paving the way for him to contribute for AHL Laval in 2026-27.

Brandon Halverson G | TB
Lightning's Brandon Halverson: Picks up sixth shutout
Halverson posted a 16-save shutout in AHL Syracuse's 2-0 win over Laval on Wednesday.
Halverson has a personal-best six shutouts this season in the AHL, collecting them in just 30 games. He's 20-6-3 on the year, the second season in a row he has hit the 20-win mark. He has added a 2.17 GAA and a .912 save percentage. The Lightning have only utilized Halverson as an emergency option. However, his success at the AHL level could help him become an option for Tampa Bay's backup role at some point, given Jonas Johansson's struggles.

Michael Brandsegg-Nygard RW | DET
Red Wings' Michael Brandsegg-Nygard: Keeps rolling in AHL win
Brandsegg-Nygard scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Grand Rapids' 7-3 win over Rockford on Wednesday.
Brandsegg-Nygard has six goals and three assists during his four-game point streak. He's found a groove for the Griffins lately and is up to 16 goals and 37 points over 49 appearances. The Norwegian forward will likely get a chance to compete for a roster spot in Detroit next season, and he could help his own cause by keeping up this strong run of play into the AHL playoffs.

Ivan Ryabkin C | CAR
Hurricanes' Ivan Ryabkin: Four more points in QMJHL win
Ryabkin scored a goal and added three assists in QMJHL Charlottetown's 7-3 win over Rimouski on Wednesday.
Ryabkin has eight points over two games to start March. He's logged at least 11 points in each of his months since joining Charlottetown, and he's well on his way to doing even better to close out the regular season. The 18-year-old forward has 30 points in 14 appearances in total, and it's clear he's a little too good for this level of hockey. Don't be surprised if he gets another look with AHL Chicago to begin 2026-27.

Ryan Lindgren D | SEA
Kraken's Ryan Lindgren: Ready to rock
Lindgren (undisclosed) will play versus the Blues on Wednesday, per Sound of Hockey.
Lindgren missed three games due to the injury. The 28-year-old will return on the third pairing, bumping Cale Fleury out of the lineup. Lindgren has just four points over 20 outings since the start of January, so fantasy managers won't have much need to track his production.
-
Philipp Grubauer G | SEA
Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Set to start versus Blues
Grubauer will guard the home goal versus the Blues on Wednesday, per Sound of Hockey.
Grubauer's last game was a loss to the Blues on Thursday, in which he stopped 27 of 31 shots in a 5-1 defeat. He has allowed at least three goals in five of his last seven outings. Grubauer will make his second start since the Olympics, and it comes after Joey Daccord's impressive performance in a 2-1 win over the Hurricanes on Monday, which makes the Kraken's goaltending choices all the more puzzling.

Troy Terry RW | ANA
Ducks' Troy Terry: Remains out Wednesday
Terry (upper body) won't play versus the Islanders on Wednesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
Terry is set to miss his fourth straight game. The 28-year-old is making progress in his recovery, but a return date has not been identified yet. The Ducks will get some reinforcements up front with Frank Vatrano (shoulder) returning to action and Ryan Strome checking in after time as a healthy scratch and due to an illness.

Evander Kane LW | VAN
Canucks' Evander Kane: Not playing Wednesday
Kane (illness) won't suit up versus the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Kane is under the weather and didn't take the ice for warmups. His absence could also unofficially help from a trade-protection standpoint, as Kane's name has surfaced in rumors. However, no deal is imminent. The 34-year-old has 27 points in 59 games this season. If he remains with the Canucks, he can be considered day-to-day heading into Friday's game against the Blackhawks.
