  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Takes overtime loss

Ullmark stopped 32 of 37 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers.

Ullmark wasn't able to contain a strong offense, squandering three separate leads before Evan Bouchard's goal in overtime decided the contest. The 32-year-old Ullmark hadn't allowed more than two goals in any of his previous four outings since he returned from a personal absence. He's now 17-8-7 with a 2.86 GAA and an .884 save percentage on the season. The remainder of the Senators' road trip is far less intimidating, and it continues Thursday in Calgary.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Adds two more assists

McDavid notched two power-play assists and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

McDavid extended his point streak to five games (one goal, nine assists) with this effort. He helped out on goals by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Evan Bouchard, with the latter's being the game-winner. McDavid has 105 points (43 on the power play) and has reached the 70-assist mark in each of the last six campaigns. He's added 232 shots on net, 31 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 62 appearances this season.

  • Devils' Dawson Mercer: Goal may light fire under his game

Mercer scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 win over the Panthers.

It was an empty-net goal, but they all count the same. Mercer has one goal in his last 12 games (one assist). Overall, the tenacious young pivot has 14 goals, 17 assists and 113 shots in 61 contests.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Tallies on power play

Nugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal on five shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

Nugent-Hopkins pulled the Oilers back within a goal early in the third period. The 32-year-old had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests. He's been steady in a top-six role this season, though he's often been more of a playmaker. He has produced 15 goals, 33 assists, 25 power-play points, 96 shots on net and a minus-5 rating over 53 outings.

  • Zach Hyman C | EDM

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Scores equalizer Tuesday

Hyman scored a goal on five shots and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

Hyman has scored three times and added two assists over the last four games. The 33-year-old winger came up clutch with the tying goal with 1:25 left in the third period in this contest. He's up to 25 goals, 41 points, 131 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-10 rating through 43 outings. That's excellent production, especially since he missed the first month-plus of the campaign due to his recovery from a wrist injury.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Goal, assist in overtime win

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on four shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

Bouchard has three goals and eight assists during his five-game point streak, with four of those efforts yielding multiple points. The 26-year-old defenseman got involved late, helping out on Zach Hyman's equalizer with 1:25 left in regulation before scoring the game-winner 1:50 into overtime. Bouchard is up to 18 goals, 71 points (25 on the power play), 172 shots on net, 82 blocked shots and a plus-13 rating over 62 appearances this season. It's just the second time he's reached the 70-point mark, but his career-best total of 82 points from 2023-24 is well within reach.

  • Connor Brown RW | NJ

Devils' Connor Brown: Three assists in last two games

Brown had two assists Tuesday in a 5-1 win over the Panthers.

The veteran forward has three assists in his last two games, but just one shot. Overall, Brown has 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) in 54 games, and he's toiling on line two with Jack Hughes. He has gone 10 games without a goal, and he has just one in his last 26 contests.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Rattles off five points Tuesday

Draisaitl scored twice on four shots and added three assists in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

Draisaitl tallied twice in the first period and then set up two goals in the third period before helping out on Evan Bouchard's power-play marker in overtime. The 30-year-old Draisaitl has plenty of talent, but this was his highest-scoring game of the season and his fifth with at least four points. He's up to 33 goals, 57 helpers, 39 power-play points, 174 shots on net and a plus-14 rating over 59 appearances.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Does enough for win

Ingram stopped 17 of 21 shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators.

The Oilers never led in regulation, but Ingram kept it from getting too lopsided. Evan Bouchard's game-winner on the power play in overtime gave Ingram his second win in four outings since the Olympic break, a span in which he's allowed 11 goals on 80 shots. He's now 8-6-1 with a 2.83 GAA and an .890 save percentage over 17 appearances. Ingram's playing time is picking up, but he'll need to look significantly steadier between the pipes to pull away from Tristan Jarry for the rest of the season. The Oilers have a tough matchup ahead when they host the Hurricanes on Friday.

  • Jack Hughes C | NJ

Devils' Jack Hughes: Four-game, five-assist streak

Hughes put up two assists in a 5-1 win over Florida on Tuesday.

Hughes came back from the Olympics riding a wave of success -- he's on a four-game, five-assist scoring streak (nine shots). The toothless pivot now has 41 points (12 goals, 29 assists) and 136 shots in 40 games this season. Hughes could deliver 20-plus points the rest of the way, and that's more than strong for those on a playoff push.
