Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Four-game, five-assist streak
Hughes put up two assists in a 5-1 win over Florida on Tuesday.
Hughes came back from the Olympics riding a wave of success -- he's on a four-game, five-assist scoring streak (nine shots). The toothless pivot now has 41 points (12 goals, 29 assists) and 136 shots in 40 games this season. Hughes could deliver 20-plus points the rest of the way, and that's more than strong for those on a playoff push.

Dougie Hamilton D | NJ
Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Three-game, four-point streak
Hamilton had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Florida on Tuesday.
Hamilton's goal stood as the winner. He put the Devils up 2-1 on a 4-on-4 early in the second frame. The veteran defender is on a three-game, four-point scoring streak (two goals, two assists) amidst trade rumors. Hamilton has some control over his destination with a modified no-trade list with 10 teams he'd agree to move to. He's one of the NHL's highest-volume shooters from the blueline who can run the power play, and he'd be effective no matter where he lands.

Jacob Markstrom G | NJ
Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Second straight win
Markstrom made 20 saves in a 5-1 win over the Panthers on Tuesday.
Markstrom had to be sharp right out of the gate when his team started with a couple of ugly shifts. He's put up back-to-back wins with one goal allowed in each. The 36-year-old Swede is 17-14-1 with a 3.06 GAA and .888 save percentage in 33 appearances this season. Jake Allen's ratios are significantly better (2.61 GAA, .907 save percentage), but he's 12-15-1 in 29 outings. The Devils need wins, and Markstrom has a slight advantage.

Cameron Schmidt RW | DAL
Stars' Cameron Schmidt: Two more goals for T-Birds
Schmidt scored twice in WHL Seattle's 4-1 win over Kamloops on Tuesday.
Schmidt had eight goals and seven assists over 13 contests in February, and he's already off to a good start in March. The winger is up to 43 goals and 89 points over 63 appearances between Seattle and Vancouver this season, putting him tied for second in the WHL in points. The Stars prospect has shown consistent excellence, but the Thunderbirds' struggles this season could deny him the chance to play in the playoffs.

Jake Walman D | EDM
Oilers' Jake Walman: Held out of third period
Walman sustained an undisclosed injury Tuesday versus the Senators, but it isn't expected to be serious, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Walman was held out of the third period of Tuesday's contest. The 30-year-old defenseman can be considered day-to-day ahead of Friday's game versus the Hurricanes. It doesn't seem like he's in danger of a lengthy absence, and the Oilers will have Connor Murphy ready to step into the lineup Friday if Walman can't go.

Curtis Lazar C | EDM
Oilers' Curtis Lazar: Set to miss at least one week
Lazar sustained an undisclosed injury Tuesday versus the Senators and will miss at least one week, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Lazar logged three hits over 2:25 of ice time in the contest prior to his injury. He is stuck in an 11-game point drought and will have to wait to get healthy before he gets a chance to snap the skid. The Oilers will likely need to either make a call-up or a trade to fill out their lineup while Lazar is hurt.

Akira Schmid G | LV
Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Solid in loss
Schmid made 25 saves in a 3-2 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday.
Schmid has scuffled a bit in his last six games. He's 1-4-1 since Jan. 22, and he's allowed 18 goals in that span. Platoon-mate Adin Hill is 3-3-1 with 27 goals allowed in his seven latest starts. The Vegas net belongs to these two, with Carter Hart (lower body) out week-to-week since Jan. 8.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Five points in last two games
Dahlin delivered two assists Tuesday in a 3-2 win over the Golden Knights.
The defender has five points, including four assists, in his last two games. Dahlin sits in seventh in scoring overall from the blue line with 53 points, just one point behind Darren Raddysh. Dahlin is on pace to potentially equal his career mark of 73 points, which he set in 2022-23, and he's also on pace to top 200 shots for the fourth straight season.

Ivan Barbashev LW | LV
Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Eight points in last nine games
Barbashev scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to the Sabres.
Barbashev has two goals in four games since the break and eight points, including six snipes, in his last nine games (20 shots). It helps to skate on the top line beside Jack Eichel. Barbashev can put his stick down and head to the net, and Eichel will find him. That alone could earn him a gig on your squad.

Pavel Dorofeyev RW | LV
Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Top-15 NHL goal scorer
Dorofeyev scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to Buffalo.
He scored five-hole on a breakaway. It was his 29th of the season. Dorofeyev is tied with Macklin Celebrini for 15th in snipes in the NHL. Dorofeyev has four points, including three goals, in four games since the Olympic break. The 25-year-old is pure finish -- he has just 48 points (19 assists) in 61 games. Fifteen of his goals and half of his points overall (24) have come with the man advantage.
