  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Expected to play against Toronto

Hedman (lower body) said Tuesday that he will be ready for Wednesday's home game versus the Maple Leafs and expects to be in the lineup, according to Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com.

Hedman sustained his lower-body injury during warmups of last Wednesday's quarterfinals matchup for Sweden against the United States and did not play as a result. The left-shot blueliner has already missed 34 games for the Lightning this season due to an elbow injury. The 35-year-old should be good for his role in all situations against Toronto, though his ice time might be relatively low in the first half of a back-to-back -- Tampa Bay will also face Carolina on Thursday.

  • Tim Washe C | ANA

Ducks' Tim Washe: Rejoins NHL club

Washe was elevated from AHL San Diego on Tuesday, per Patrick Present of The Hockey News.

Washe was sent to the AHL prior to the Olympic break to get some games in with the Gulls. He posted a goal, an assist, 14 PIM and a minus-1 rating over six games during that stint in the minors. The 24-year-old will now get back to serving in a depth capacity for the Ducks.

  • Ian Moore D | ANA

Ducks' Ian Moore: Brought up from minors

Moore was summoned from AHL San Diego on Tuesday.

Moore spent the Olympic break in the minors, playing in three games. He hasn't earned a point in four AHL appearances this season. Moore has spent the majority of the 2025-26 campaign in the NHL, collecting two goals, seven assists, 39 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and 17 hits in 41 contests for the Ducks.

  • Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Summoned from AHL

Simashev was recalled from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

Simashev has split time between the NHL and AHL this season. He has one assist in 24 appearances with the big club in 2025-26 while notching seven goals and 25 points in 27 minor-league outings.

  • Mammoth's Maveric Lamoureux: Called up Tuesday

Lamoureux was promoted from AHL Tucson on Tuesday.

Lamoureux was called up alongside fellow blueliner Dmitri Simashev, which would seem to indicate there are some defenseman in doubt ahead of Wednesday's clash with the Avalanche. For his part, the 22-year-old Lamoureux has logged just five NHL games this year, tallying one assist, 11 hits and four shots along the way.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Slated to suit up Wednesday

Tavares (illness) is expected to be available for Wednesday's divisional matchup in Tampa Bay, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.

Tavares didn't practice Tuesday due to the flu, but barring any setbacks, he should be good to go in what will be a crucial game for the Maple Leafs. The 35-year-old will likely skate between Matias Maccelli and William Nylander on the second line against the Bolts on Wednesday.

  • Ben Jones C | MIN

Wild's Ben Jones: Coming up from Iowa

Jones was recalled from AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Jones will continue to provide depth for the Wild, as the team had only 12 forwards on the roster prior to calling him up. The 26-year-old has accounted for two points, 25 shots, 53 hits and a minus-10 rating over 26 appearances with the big club this season. It remains to be seen if he will be in the lineup Thursday in Colorado.

  • Wild's Matt Kiersted: Promoted from minors

Kiersted was elevated from AHL Iowa on Tuesday.

Kiersted has appeared in just four NHL games this season, in which he notched one assist, four shots and five blocks while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The decision to bring Kierster up from the minors could be an indication that Quinn Hughes won't be back in time from the Olympics to face Colorado on Thursday.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Back up with big club

DiPietro was recalled from AHL Providence on Tuesday on an emergency basis, according to Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.

This is DiPietro's second call-up under emergency conditions in the last week, as he'll continue to help the Bruins in practice as a result of Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics. The NHL season resumes Wednesday, but the Bruins aren't back in action until Thursday versus Columbus, so Swayman should be back with the team by then after winning the gold medal Sunday. If that's the case, DiPietro will probably be sent back to Providence in the near future.

  • Adam Edstrom C | NYR

Rangers' Adam Edstrom: Working in regular sweater

Edstrom (lower body) was sporting a regular jersey at Tuesday's practice session, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.

Edstrom looks poised to be ready to play when the Rangers face the Flyers on Thursday. Even if Edstrom is activated off injured reserve before Thursday's tilt, he is far from a lock to play, considering he has managed just four points in 24 games this season. Whenever Edstrom does return, it will likely come at the expense of Brett Berard.
