  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: In goal versus Kraken

Stolarz will get the starting nod for Thursday's road clash with Seattle, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.

In his first game back from a long-term, upper-body injury, Stolarz gave up five goals on 30 shots (.833 save percentage). It was a less-than-stellar performance, but getting the netminder some work before the Olympic break certainly makes sense. The Maple Leafs head into a back-to-back versus Calgary and Edmonton on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, so Stolarz figures to get one of those games as well.

  • Hugh McGing LW | STL

Blues' Hugh McGing: Heads to AHL

McGing was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Thursday.

Matt Luff was also sent to the minors, and Oskar Sundqvist (ankle) was taken off injured reserve in corresponding moves. McGing has a goal and an assist in three outings with St. Louis this campaign. The 27-year-old also has four goals, 12 points and 40 PIM in 35 outings with Springfield in 2025-26.

  • Matt Luff RW | NYI

Blues' Matt Luff: Returned to minors

Luff was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Thursday.

Luff's promotion lasted a few hours, giving him time enough to practice with the team before his return to the minors. With Luff and Hugh McGing both shipped back to the Thunderbirds, Jake Neighbours (lower body) and Jordan Kyrou (upper body) figure to be in the lineup against the Panthers on Thursday, even though they are officially game-time decisions.

  • Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Off injured reserve

Sundqvist (ankle) was taken off injured reserve, per the NHL media site, which suggests he's available to play Thursday versus Florida.

Sundqvist was last in the lineup Jan. 18. He has three goals, 13 points, 14 PIM, 47 hits and 23 blocks in 39 outings in 2025-26. Sundqvist is likely to play in a bottom-six capacity against the Panthers, which might lead to Nathan Walker serving as a healthy scratch.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Guarding road goal

Lindgren is set to start on the road against Detroit on Thursday.

Lindgren has gone 0-2-1 while stopping 91 of 105 shots (.867 save percentage) across his past three starts. He's 7-6-3 with a 3.41 GAA and an .885 save percentage in 17 outings in 2025-26. Although the Red Wings are coming off a 3-1 loss to Los Angeles on Tuesday, Detroit is still 13-4-2 across its past 19 games.

  • Nils Hoglander LW | VAN

Canucks' Nils Hoglander: Ruled out for Thursday's game

Hoglander (lower body) won't play in Thursday's game against the Ducks, Randip Janda of Sportsnet reports.

Hoglander suffered a lower-body injury during Tuesday's loss to San Jose. Although he was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate, he's considered day-to-day and will be forced to miss at least one game. David Kampf will likely draw into the lineup against Anaheim, while Hoglander's next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Maple Leafs.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Leaves ice first

Hill was the first goalie to exit the ice ahead of Thursday's home clash with Dallas, SinBin.vegas reports, indicating he'll be in goal.

Hill has produced middling results since returning from a long-term injury, going 2-2-0 with a 4.26 GAA, including giving up seven goals on 32 shots in his most recent outing. Despite the rink rust that he needs to shake off, Hill figures to continue seeing the bulk of the workload, especially with Carter Hart (lower body) on injured reserve.

  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Slated to face Nashville

Markstrom is expected to start at home against Nashville on Thursday.

Markstrom has a 14-12-1 record, 3.29 GAA and .879 save percentage in 28 outings in 2025-26. Although he has an okay 2-2-0 record across his past four games, he's allowed 12 goals on 100 shots (.880 save percentage) over that stretch. After a slow start to the campaign (6-12-4), Nashville is 18-11-1 while scoring 3.20 goals per game across its past 30 outings.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Facing Golden Knights

Oettinger will patrol the visiting crease in Vegas on Thursday, per Mike Heika of the Stars' official site.

Oettinger has won three straight games and is 20-10-4 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.66 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 34 starts in 2025-26. He will face a Vegas side that is returning from a four-game road trip to Boston and Eastern Canada. The Golden Knights are eighth in NHL scoring, producing 3.31 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Joel Nystrom D | CAR

Hurricanes' Joel Nystrom: Heads to minors

Nystrom was sent to AHL Chicago on Thursday.

Nystrom has a goal, nine points, six PIM, 43 shots, nine hits and 21 blocks in 37 appearances with Carolina in 2025-26. The 23-year-old has also recorded an assist in six outings with Chicago this season.
