The following players and teams agreed to terms on a contract for 2016, thus avoiding salary arbitration: 1B Yonder Alonso, Athletics ($2.65 million); INF Freddy Galvis, Phillies ($2 million); P Chris Hatcher, Dodgers ($1.065 million); C Wilson Ramos, Nationals ($5.35 million); P Tom Wilhelmsen, Rangers ($3.1 million); P Justin Wilson, Tigers ($1.525 million).
EXTENSIONS
Marlins: Reportedly agreed to terms with 2B Dee Gordon on a five-year, $50 million contract extension that also includes a $14 million vesting option for 2021.
SIGNINGS
Dodgers: Signed OF Jordan Schafer to a minor-league contract.
Padres: Agreed to terms with P Carlos Villanueva on a one-year, $1.5 million contract.
Rangers: Signed INF Pedro Ciriaco to a minor-league contract.

RUMORS & SPECULATION
Yoenis Cespedes: Although a reunion seems unlikely, Jon Heyman tweets that the Mets have remained in touch with Cespedes' camp this offseason. Since it's mid-January and Cespedes remains unsigned, perhaps there's a chance. Heyman also tweets that the Braves may have some interest in Cespedes.

Rockies: Jon Heyman tweets that the Orioles, Cardinals, White Sox, and Angels are among the teams who have asked about OF Carlos Gonzalez this offseason.
