Rangers' Anthony Gutierrez: Out for season with torn ACL
Gutierrez will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a torn ACL, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Gutierrez suffered the injury in an outfield collision during the season opener with High-A Hub City. The 21-year-old slashed .258/.333/.320 with two home runs and 48 stolen bases for Hub City in 2025.

Rangers' Anthony Gutierrez: Out for season
Gutierrez is on High-A Hickory's 7-day injured list and will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Wednesday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The 19-year-old presumably suffered the injury during his last appearance Sunday, when he went 0-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases and a run scored. Gutierrez will finish the 2024 campaign with a .247/.326/.322 slash line with one homer, 38 steals, 19 RBI and 35 runs in 71 games at High-A.

Rangers' Anthony Gutierrez: Gradual improvements at Single-A
Gutierrez is hitting .314 with six steals, six strikeouts and four walks in 10 July games for Single-A Down East.
The 18-year-old outfielder has struggled to do much damage in his full-season debut (.062 ISO, .315 SLG), but his strikeouts are trending down while his walks are trending up. An excellent athlete, the 6-foot-3 Gutierrez has a chance to develop a well-round tool set, but right now he is more projection than substance.

Rangers' Anthony Gutierrez: Promising results in rookie ball
Gutierrez, 17, has put up a .318/.340/.500 batting line with a homer and four steals through 12 games in the Arizona Complex League.
The young Venezuelan opened 2022 in the Dominican Summer League, where he put up a .946 OPS across 23 games, but he's now come stateside and kept the good times rolling. At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Gutierrez is a lot more developed than your average 17-year-old, and it's notable that he's more than holding his own in rookie ball despite being 2.7 years younger than the average player in the ACL. Obviously, he's several years away from the majors, but Gutierrez is worth keeping tabs on.
