  • Packers' Will Redmond: Accrues 36 tackles in 2019

Redmond recorded 36 tackles and a pass breakup over 13 regular-season games in 2019. Redmond made four starts this year while Darnell Savage battled an ankle injury, but the emergence of Chandon Sullivan forced Redmond to the bench on defense late in the season, as he didn't record a defensive snap after Week 10. The 26-year-old Redmond did play in the NFC championship due to injury as well. He has a long way to go in terms of pass coverage, so he'll likely need to carve out a special-teams role in 2020 if the Packers retain him. Redmond will be an exclusive-rights free agent in March.

  • Packers' Will Redmond: Inactive as expected

Redmond (hamstring) won't play in Sunday's regular season finale against the Lions, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports. Redmond was deemed doubtful after he was a non-participant at practice all week, so this news isn't surprising. With the veteran sidelined for Week 17, Ibraheim Campbell is the only healthy depth safety on the roster.

  • Packers' Will Redmond: Deemed doubtful

Redmond (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for the Packers' regular-season finale against the Lions, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Redmond was a non-participant at practice all week and looks unlikely to suit up. Official confirmation on his status should come closer to kickoff. If he does indeed sit out, look for Ibraheim Campbell see some extra work providing depth in the secondary.

  • Packers' Will Redmond: Practices without limitations

Redmond (ankle/elbow) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. After being limited in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Redmond appears to have shaken his ankle and elbow injuries. With Darnell Savage back in action, Redmond stands to play a depth role in Green Bay's secondary Week 9.

  • Packers' Will Redmond: Limited in practice

Redmond (ankle) was limited in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Redmond may have picked up his ankle issue during practice this week. The fourth-year pro has played over 90 percent of snaps on defense during Green Bay's last two games. Those performances came with Darnell Savage (ankle) sidelined. In the event that Savage is able to retake the field Week 8, Redmond would likely revert to a rotational role in Green Bay's secondary.

  • 49ers' Will Redmond: Waived by 49ers

Redmond (ankle) was waived/injured by the 49ers on Friday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. The 2016 third-round draft pick failed to rehab from an ankle issue this preseason after missing all of last year with a significant knee injury. The 49ers could reclaim Redmond and place him on injured reserve if he passes through waivers Saturday.

  • 49ers' Will Redmond: Will not be activated

Redmond (knee) will not be activated from injured reserve as his 21-day window expired on Tuesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Redmond was elected to return from IR as he was working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered in 2015. However, the team decided to not activate the cornerback to the 53-man roster, meaning he will remain on the IR for the remainder of the season. The rookie will shift his focus to returning to the field completely healthy next year as Jimmie Ward and Tramaine Brock will continue to to start at cornerback this season.
