Saints' Alvin Kamara: Won't play Monday
Interim coach Darren Rizzi said Saturday that Kamara (groin) has been ruled out for Monday's game at Green Bay, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
This comes as no surprise, as Kamara didn't practice during Week 16 prep following comments from Rizzi on Thursday that the running back wasn't likely to suit up. In Kamara's place, Kendre Miller is set to lead the Saints backfield Monday, with Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims available for complementary reps. Kamara's next chance to play is Sunday, Dec. 29 against the Raiders.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Not practicing
Kamara (groin) isn't practicing Friday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Saints coach Darren Rizzi said Thursday that Kamara is unlikely to play Monday at Green Bay. Any form of practice participation this week would be a surprise, with the Saints preparing to have Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams leading the way in the backfield.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Unlikely to play in Week 16
Interim coach Darren Rizzi said Thursday that Kamara (thigh) isn't likely to play Monday at Green Bay, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Kamara exited this past Sunday's loss to the Commanders in the second half due to a groin issue and wasn't able to return. On Monday, Rizzi told Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana that Kamara was dealing with an adductor injury. Rizzi's most recent comments indicate Kamara is poised to miss his first game of the season Monday, which would put Kendre Miller in a prime position out of the Saints backfield in Week 16. Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims are the other running backs on the active roster, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Xazavian Valladay are candidates to be elevated from the practice squad.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Nursing adductor injury
Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said Monday that Kamara (groin) has been diagnosed with an adductor injury after initial medical imaging results, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Kamara was forced out of New Orleans' 20-19 loss against Washington in Week 15 in the second half, and it's possible his groin injury could impact his availability for Monday night's road matchup against Green Bay on Dec. 23. If Kamara were to miss any time, second-year pro Kendre Miller and veteran Jamaal Williams would be positioned as the lead options in the Saints backfield. Further details on Kamara's health may not be made available until later during Week 16 prep, with New Orleans' first official practice scheduled to occur Thursday.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Hurts groin Sunday
Kamara sustained a groin injury during Sunday's contest against the Commanders.
Kamara brushed off an illness in order to suit up Week 15, but he paid a visit to the sideline tent in the second half before the Saints announced a new health concern for the running back. At the point of his departure, he had notched five carries for 12 yards and four catches (on five targets) for 58 yards and one touchdown. Kendre Miller likely will lead New Orleans' backfield in Kamara's stead, while veteran Jamaal Williams also is on hand for RB reps.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: No injury designation
Kamara (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Kamara returned to full practice participation Friday after an illness kept him out the previous two days. He shouldn't have any limitations come Sunday, but the Saints did get fellow running back Kendre Miller more involved in the offense during last week's win over the Giants, and they'll now be playing without No. 1 quarterback Derek Carr (hand/concussion). Both developments negatively impact Kamara's fantasy projection, but he's still worth starting in most formats as the likely centerpiece of an injury-riddled offense.
