Commanders' Austin Seibert: Remains limited in practice
Rotowire
Seibert (hip) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Seibert has missed Washington's last two games with the right hip injury and isn't in the clear just yet, as he's remained limited in both of the Commanders' first two Week 12 practice sessions. He'll likely need to upgrade to full activity Friday to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game against the Cowboys. If Seibert is forced to miss another game, the Commanders will likely elevate Zane Gonzalez from the practice squad once again to handle kicking duties.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Seen at practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Seibert (hip) was spotted on the field during the open portion of Wednesday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Seibert has missed the last two games due to a right hip injury, but his return to drills to kick off Week 12 prep is a decent sign that he's trending toward suiting up Sunday against the Cowboys for the first time since Week 9. The Commanders' first Week 12 practice report will be posted later Wednesday and will reveal the extent of his practice participation.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Not playing Thursday
Rotowire
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn ruled Seibert (hip) out for Thursday's game against the Eagles, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
After missing this past Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Steelers with a right hip injury, Seibert had been listed as a non-participant on the Commanders' first two Week 11 injury reports and wasn't spotted working out with Washington's specialists during Wednesday's session. The Commanders are likely to elevate Zane Gonzalez from the practice squad for a second straight game to handle kicking duties, while Seibert will set his sights on a potential return to action Week 12 versus the Cowboys on Nov. 24.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Missing another practice
Rotowire
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said that Seibert (hip) won't participate in Tuesday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Seibert will only have one more chance to log some practice reps this week, but his lack of activity Monday and Tuesday is putting him at risk of missing a second straight game this Thursday versus the Eagles. While Seibert was sidelined for a Week 10 loss to the Steelers, Zane Gonzalez handled kicking duties and connected on both of his field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point attempts.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Still nursing hip issue
Rotowire
Seibert (hip) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimation.
Seibert was sidelined for the Commanders' Week 10 loss to the Steelers after likely tweaking his hip the week prior, and Monday's estimated DNP suggests he could be in jeopardy of missing additional time. If the 27-year-old is unable to practice in at least a limited fashion Tuesday or Wednesday, Zane Gonzalez will likely serve as Washington's top kicker again in Week 11's matchup against the Eagles on Thursday night.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Ruled out for Week 10
Rotowire
Seibert (hip) was downgraded to out Saturday for Sunday's clash against Pittsburgh.
Seibert began the practice week as a non-participant Wednesday but was able to return to limited practices both Thursday and Friday. He entered the weekend deemed questionable to suit up Sunday, but the Commanders ruled him out Saturday. Zane Gonzalez was elevated from Washington's practice squad to kick against the Steelers in Week 10. The Commanders have a quick turnaround after Sunday with a Week 11 Thursday night matchup against Philadelphia, and it's unclear if Seibert will be able to recover in time to kick in that contest.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Questionable for Week 10
Rotowire

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Misses Wednesday's practice
Rotowire
Seibert didn't practice Wednesday due to a right hip injury.
Seibert made both of his field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point attempts in the Commanders' Week 9 win over the Giants, but he may have tweaked his hip at some point along the way. Look for the Commanders to add another kicker to their practice squad or 53-man roster if Seibert misses additional practices later this week, which would put his status for Sunday's game against the Steelers in jeopardy.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Reliable in road win
Rotowire
Seibert made both of his two field-goal tries and all three of his extra-point attempts during Sunday's 27-22 win against the Giants.
Both of Seibert's field goals were shorter than extra points, so he wasn't tasked with anything too difficult Sunday. With that said, he has now made multiple field goals in seven of his eight games this season, and his 25 made field goals so far in 2024 are more than any other kicker in the league.

Commanders' Austin Seibert: Misses first kick of season
Rotowire
Seibert made three of his four field-goal attempts and converted on both of his two extra-point tries during Sunday's 30-23 loss at Baltimore.
The Ravens' Ben Cleveland actually got a paw on Seibert's 52-yard try at the end of the first half to block it, but it still goes down in the books as the kicker's first blemish of the year. He had a great game for fantasy purposes, though, and it seems like he should be a solid option at kicker as long as the Commanders continue to score at a high clip.

Seibert just joined the Commanders on Tuesday after the team decided to cut Cade York. He made the decision pay off in Week 2, making himself responsible for every point put on the board in their divisional win. The Oklahoma product hit six field goals from 33 yards out or less, including the game-winner from 30 yards out as time was expiring to seal the victory. His long for the day was from 45 yards. Next up for Seibert and Washington are the Bengals on MNF in Week 3.

Rotowire
Seibert signed a contract with the Commanders on Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Seibert will take over as Washington's new kicker beginning with Sunday's game versus the Giants in the wake of the Commanders cutting Cade York, who missed 47- and 56-yard field goal attempts in the team's Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. Since entering the NFL in 2019, Seibert has bounced around between five organizations and has appeared in 31 career games while converting 45 of 56 field-goal attempts (80.4 percent) and 56 of 62 extra-point tries (90.3 percent).

Austin Seibert: May have found new opportunity
Rotowire
Seibert is expected to sign with the Commanders after the team cut Cade York on Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Seibert was cut by the Jets during training camp and appears to be in line to receive another opportunity, this time in Washington. However, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports that head coach Dan Quinn stated more clarity on the kicker position will come on Wednesday. It's not clear if that is when Seibert will sign, and if he will be given a spot on the 53-man roster or the practice squad. It's also possible that the Commanders may bring in other competition before settling on a new kicker after York's departure.

Austin Seibert: Let go on cut-down day
Rotowire
The Jets released Seibert on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Seibert inked a reserve/future contract with New York in January after logging two separate stints with the organization last season. He kicked in only one game during the campaign, making his lone field-goal try (from 34 yards) and his only extra-point attempt Week 2 versus Dallas. Seibert has played for four different teams during his career and hasn't appeared in more than six regular-season contests since working as Cleveland's primary kicker as a rookie in 2019.

Austin Seibert: Cut by New Orleans
Rotowire
The Saints cut Seibert from their practice squad Thursday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Seibert was brought in by New Orleans just over a week ago, as Blake Grupe was dealing with an undisclosed issue ahead of the team's Week 13 contest. Grupe was able to suit up in Week 13's affair, and he appears to be past whatever issue he had been tending to, so it's not surprising that the Saints have decided to move on from Seibert.

Seibert joined the Jets' practice squad Sept 16. He filled in for Greg Zuerlein (groin) in Week 2 against the Cowboys, and Seibert made both of his kicks (a PAT try and a 34-yard field goal attempt). He'll look for another opportunity once he clears waivers.

Austin Seibert: Returns to practice squad
Rotowire
Seibert reverted to the Jets' practice squad Monday.
Seibert connected on his only two kicks during Sundays' loss to the Cowboys - a 34-yard field goal and an extra point - while playing in place of Greg Zuerlein (groin). With Zuerlein's status for Week 3 against the Patriots still up in the air, Seibert could be the subject of another promotion ahead of that game.
