Isaiah Prince: Let go with injury settlement

The 49ers waived Prince (heel) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports. Prince suffered a knee injury in San Francisco's final preseason contest and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. By reaching an injury settlement, he'll be able to play in 2025 if he gets healthy and lands with a new club.

San Francisco placed Prince (knee) on its injured reserve list Monday. Prince injured his knee during the 49ers' final preseason game versus the Chargers on Saturday, and now he's headed for their injured reserve list. Because of the timing of the transaction, he won't be eligible to play in 2025 unless he negotiates an injury settlement with San Francisco.
