  • Jazz Ferguson: Lands on practice squad

Ferguson signed with Seattle's practice squad Sunday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Ferguson led the Seahawks with 119 receiving yards in the preseason, but that wasn't enough for the undrafted rookie to crack the roster, as draft picks Gary Jennings and John Ursua were both retained. With a spot on the practice squad, Ferguson will likely be called up if there's an injury.

  • Jazz Ferguson: Waived by Seahawks

The Seahawks waived Ferguson on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports. Although Ferguson had a productive preseason, he was unable to land a spot on the Seattle's 53-man roster. If he does not get claimed off waivers he will presumably be offered a spot on the team's practice squad.

  • Seahawks' Jazz Ferguson: Looks solid in preseason opener

Ferguson hauled in four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game versus the Broncos. All of Ferguson's receptions were from Paxton Lynch, who is battling for a backup quarterback job. Ferguson signed on with the Seahawks after going undrafted in April, and after a big preseason opener he looks to have a solid chance to make the team, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. While he likely won't make a large impact with the Seahawks if he makes the team, his potential is clear and they may not want to risk putting him on waivers to sneak him onto the practice squad. Keep an eye on his progression through the next three exhibition contests.

  • Jazz Ferguson: Joining Seattle

The Seahawks are expected to sign Ferguson as an undrafted free agent, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. The Northwestern State product ran a solid 4.45 40-yard dash at the combine, but went undrafted. Ferguson lit up the FCS last season, catching 66 passes for 1,117 yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games. He projects as a depth wide receiver and contributor on special teams.
