  • Cardinals' James Wiggins: Back from injury

Wiggins appears fully recovered from a knee injury heading into his second training camp with Arizona, Aaron Decker of SI.com reports. Wiggins played three games in 2021 after being called up from the Cardinals' practice squad in October, appearing solely on special teams during this stint. The safety was then placed on injured reserve with a knee injury in December and was never activated before the end of his rookie season. Wiggins should vie with Charles Washington and Deionte Thompson for a backup safety role during training camp.

  • Cardinals' James Wiggins: Designated to return

Wiggins (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday. Wiggins landed on injured reserve in early December but will now be able to return to practice. It's not yet clear when he'll be activated from IR, but he's unlikely to play a significant defensive role if he's activated at some point.

  • Cardinals' James Wiggins: Questionable to face Seattle

Wiggins (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, according to Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site. Wiggins didn't practice Wednesday, but he did appear in both Thursday and Friday sessions, so he might have a chance of being available. He hasn't played since Week 8, though, when he logged seven plays on special teams. The fact that he's yet to play a single defensive snap this season suggests his potential absence won't have an impact in fantasy.

  • Cardinals' James Wiggins: Out Week 9

Wiggins (knee) will not play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Wiggins injured his knee in the Cardinals' Week 8 loss to the Packers. Although he had a few extra days to recover with the contest being held on a Thursday, he was unable to practice all week. As a result, his absence in Week 9 is unsurprising.

  • Cardinals' James Wiggins: Ruled out with knee issue

Wiggins has been ruled out from returning to Thursday's game against the Packers after suffering a knee injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Wiggins was injured covering a punt in the first half of the game. He did not record a stat prior to his exit, but he does have one tackle on the season.
