Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Extremely modest numbers in loss
Pickett completed 15 of 25 passes for 64 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in the Raiders' 31-0 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also rushed twice for seven yards.
Pickett averaged a microscopic 2.6 yards per attempt, a figure that naturally didn't come close to helping the Raiders keep pace with Jalen Hurts and his teammates. Pickett also took four sacks and showed a fair share of rust in his first start of the season. Pickett could get a second consecutive starting nod in a difficult Week 16 road matchup against the Texans next Sunday if Geno Smith (shoulder) remains sidelined.

Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Week 15 starting QB
Coach Pete Carroll announced Friday that Pickett will start Sunday's game against the Eagles, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports.
Per Carroll, Geno Smith, who suffered right shoulder and hand injuries this past Sunday and didn't practice this week, "won't make it back" to face Philadelphia. "He tried," Carroll added, but the veteran QB "couldn't get it done in this amount of time." While the report adds that Smith has a good chance to be available for Week 16 action, Pickett will get the nod this weekend, making him an option for those in QB-friendly fantasy formats or otherwise are in need of shorter-term signal-caller help. Pickett's last regular-season start occurred Week 17 last season, when he was a member of the Eagles, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports.

Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Likely starting against former team
Pickett likely will replace Geno Smith (shoulder) as the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Smith isn't practicing Wednesday and reportedly isn't expected to be ready by Sunday. The Raiders might've gone in this direction at some point in December even without the impetus of an injury given the consistently poor performance of their offense this season.

Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Works in relief again
Pickett completed eight of 11 passes for 97 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Broncos. He added one rush for six yards.
Pickett played the entire fourth quarter in relief of Geno Smith, who exited with a shoulder injury. The former led two garbage-time drives with the Raiders down three and two scores, respectively, showing good rapport with Jack Bech while also hitting Shedrick Jackson for a 25-yard score. This was Pickett's third appearance of the season, by far his most prolonged, and he could be in line to start in Week 15 against the Eagles pending the severity of Smith's injury.
