Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Works in relief again
Pickett completed eight of 11 passes for 97 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Broncos. He added one rush for six yards.
Pickett played the entire fourth quarter in relief of Geno Smith, who exited with a hand injury. He led two garbage-time drives with the Raiders down three and two scores, respectively, showing good rapport with Jack Bech while also hitting Shedrick Jackson for a 25-yard score. This was Pickett's third appearance of the season, by far his most prolonged, and he could be in line to start in Week 15 against the Eagles pending the severity of Smith's injury.

Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Fourth-quarter spot duty in loss
Pickett entered the Raiders' 10-7 loss to the Broncos on Thursday night for Geno Smith (quadriceps) with 14:38 remaining in the fourth quarter and failed to complete his only pass attempt.
Smith was injured on a short scramble on the first play of the fourth quarter, necessitating Pickett's entry into the game. However, the 2022 first-round pick of the Steelers only made a brief cameo, handing off to Ashton Jeanty on his first play before tossing an incomplete pass intended for Jack Bech. Smith was able to reenter the game on the next possession and finish out the game, and the veteran signal-caller will now have extra time to get fully healthy before a Week 11 home matchup against the Cowboys on Monday night, Nov. 17.

Raiders' Kenny Pickett: Makes team debut in garbage time
Pickett completed two pass attempts for eight yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Chiefs.
Pickett has served as the Raiders' backup quarterback for each of Las Vegas' first seven games but didn't get the chance to make his debut until halfway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, when the Chiefs had already built a 31-point lead. The quarterback proceeded to fumble his first snap of the season, then went three-and-out on the Raiders' next drive before handing off to Dylan Laube on the team's ensuing possession as time expired. Though starter Geno Smith passed for just 67 yards before being pulled from Sunday's contest in the fourth quarter and has thrown an NFL-high 10 interceptions through seven weeks, head coach Pete Carroll didn't hint in his postgame press conference that he was considering a change at quarterback moving forward. As such, Pickett tentatively looks set to remain in a backup role coming out of the Raiders' Week 8 bye.
