  • Andrew Mevis: Let go by Jacksonville

    The Jaguars waived Mevis on Friday. Per Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com, Mevis struggled mightily during Thursday's practice, which prompted Jacksonville to bring in four veteran kickers for tryouts Friday. Among that group was Elliott Fry, who earned a contract following the tryout. Mevis has appeared in three NFL games for three different teams (Falcons, Chiefs and Bengals) across two seasons and has connected on five of six field-goal attempts and five of seven extra-point tries.
