Coulter (knee) is not practicing Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports. It's not clear when Coulter suffered the injury or the severity of it. • Isaiah Coulter: Let go Saturday

Coulter was cut from the Cardinals' practice squad Saturday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports. Coulter had just joined the team Wednesday, and he seemed like a potential candidate be to be elevated to the active roster with DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and Robbie Anderson (back) out. However, instead his time in Arizona was cut short. The 24-year-old previously spent time on the Bills and Bears' practice squads this season as well, but he never got into a game. He'll now likely work to find a new opportunity.

  • Isaiah Coulter: Added to Cardinals' practice squad

Coulter was signed to the Cardinals' practice squad Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. With DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and Robbie Anderson (back) both questionable to play Sunday versus the 49ers, Coulter could have an opportunity for elevation to the active roster in Week 18. The wide receiver has yet to play in a game this season, and if he does end up being active for Sunday's regular season finale, he'll likely have little to no impact on the offensive game plan.

  • Texans' Isaiah Coulter: Active but DNP

Coulter did not play in Houston's season-ending loss to the Titans on Sunday. The Texans expended decent draft capital on Coulter, selecting him in the fifth round of the 2020 draft, but he barely touched the field, getting just six snaps and no targets in a Week 14 loss to the Bears. It wasn't a good sign that he was edged out for playing time by practice squad players when the Texans were desperate for bodies at wideout over the final weeks of the season. The Texans are interested in re-signing Will Fuller (suspension), who becomes an unrestricted free agent during the offseason, and have veterans Brandin Cooks, Randall Cobb and Keke Coutee on existing contracts, so there may not be a spot for Coulter in 2021. The organization will have a new general manager and head coach though, who presumably will want to shape the roster as they see fit.

  • Texans' Isaiah Coulter: In lineup for Week 14

Coulter is active for Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. No. 1 wideout Brandin Cooks (neck/foot) has been deemed inactive for Week 14, opening the door for Houston's depth receivers to become more involved. Coulter, Keke Coutee, Chad Hansen and Steven Mitchell are all likely to see an uptick in usage, with Will Fuller (suspension) and Randall Cobb (toe) also unavailable Week 14. The fifth-round rookie from Rhode Island hasn't yet made his NFL debut, with a neck injury keeping him sidelined for the first half of the season.

  • Texans' Isaiah Coulter: Should see more work

Coulter is expected to see more reps moving forward following news that Will Fuller has been suspended for the rest of the season, Aaron Reiss of The Athletic reports. Last week, the Texans placed Randall Cobb (foot) on IR and cut Kenny Stills (quadriceps). The extended absence of Fuller should open to door for Coulter to finally get some tread in the Texans' offense, as he's vaulted to the No. 3 wide receiver spot on the depth chart behind Brandin Cooks and Keke Coutee. The rookie fifth-round pick was quite productive in his final season at Rhode Island, producing a 72-1,039-8 line over 12 games, but he hasn't had a chance to showcase his skills with the Texans. Coulter should make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Colts.
