Johnson wasn't heavily involved during his rookie campaign and now could be dealing with a significant setback in his attempt to make a bigger impact in 2024. However, the type and severity of the Oregon product's injury are still unknown until what will likely be further testing takes place.

Johnson was unable to play in Week 13 versus the Buccaneers due to an elbow injury that he suffered the week prior, but he now appears to be ready to go if needed for Sunday's contest versus New Orleans. The linebacker recorded 14 tackles while also deflecting a pass over eight games in his rookie campaign with the Panthers.
