Geor'quarius Spivey: Cut loose by Kansas City
Spivey was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Spivey signed with Kansas City for the second straight year prior to training camp, and for the second year in a row, he failed to make the initial 53-man roster. The tight end did not produce any stats during the preseason, and he may be looking for another opportunity elsewhere.

Geor'quarius Spivey: Let go by Kansas City
The Chiefs waived Spivey on Monday.
Spivey linked with Kansas City early August and spent training camp competing for a reserve role at tight end, but he predictably couldn't secure a spot on the team's initial 53-man roster. If the rookie out of Mississippi State clears waivers and the Chiefs are satisfied with his development so far, he could end up earning a spot on the practice squad.

Chiefs' Geor'quarius Spivey: Signed by KC
Spivey was signed as an undrafted free agent by Kansas City on Friday with tight end Izaiah Gathings being waived, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Spivey failed to get selected in the 2024 NFL Draft after only practicing with Mississippi State in 2023 due to his transfer waiver being denied with the NCAA. The 6-foot-5 tight-end will compete for a reserve tight end spot with the Chiefs after logging 11 receptions for 136 yards and one touchdown in his final season (2022) with TCU.
