    Spivey was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday. Spivey signed with Kansas City for the second straight year prior to training camp, and for the second year in a row, he failed to make the initial 53-man roster. The tight end did not produce any stats during the preseason, and he may be looking for another opportunity elsewhere.

    Spivey signed with the Chiefs on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Spivey was with the Chiefs during training camp in 2024 but was unable to make the roster. He's since played in the UFL and will now get another chance to crack the Kansas City roster during training camp.

If the rookie out of Mississippi State clears waivers and the Chiefs are satisfied with his development so far, he could end up earning a spot on the practice squad.
