  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Targeted once

Brown caught his lone target for a 24-yard gain in Sunday's 27-22 win over the Giants. Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey have been rotating snaps behind No. 1 receiver Terry McLaurin and No. 2 receiver Noah Brown. This was the fourth straight game in which Dyami Brown caught exactly one pass, and he's now up to eight consecutive weeks with either one or two receptions. There's not much reason to expect more than that Week 10 against Pittsburgh, considering the team's other wide receivers mostly have been playing well.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Makes one catch in Week 8 win

Brown secured his only target for six yards during Sunday's 18-15 win over the Bears. Brown, who played 32 percent of the offensive snaps, continues to mix in with Luke McCaffrey (36 percent) and Olamide Zaccheaus (35 percent) for No. 3 wide receiver reps behind top options Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown. The 2021 third-round pick has now logged seven straight games with at least one catch, but he's averaging just 19.1 yards per contest in that span. Brown will look to do more with his opportunities in Week 9 against the Giants.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Ready for Week 8

Brown (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest against the Bears. Brown opened the week with back-to-back limited practices due to an ankle injury, but he was able to log a full session Friday, thereby clearing him for Week 8 action. After going without a catch in the season opener, he has at least one reception in six consecutive games, but the cumulative line of 9-128-1 on 13 targets leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Dealing with ankle injury

Brown was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an ankle injury. Brown was fifth among Washington's wide receivers in routes and snaps during Sunday's 40-7 win over the Panthers. He typically sees around 1-to-3 targets per game, so any limitations for Week 8 wouldn't have much affect on the Commanders' game plan against Chicago.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Catches one pass

Brown caught his lone target for 11 yards in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Ravens. Brown dropped to a 32.0 percent snap share, fifth most among Washington's wide receivers, after handling 55.0 percent the week before with Noah Brown inactive due to a groin injury. The Commanders rotate WRs more than most teams, but Brown would probably need multiple injuries in front of him to see more than 2-3 targets per game. Next up is a Week 7 home game against Carolina.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Scores 41-yard TD

Brown caught both of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in a 34-13 win over the Browns on Sunday. With Noah Brown (groin) inactive, Brown played 55 percent of snaps on offense, up from 22 percent in Week 3 and 25 percent in Week 4. He beat his defender for a 41-yard TD down the sideline shortly before halftime, but the one big play isn't likely to be enough to break free of a timeshare with Olamide Zaccheaus in the event Brown misses another game Week 6 at Baltimore.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Catches three passes from Daniels

Brown started Saturday's preseason game against Miami and caught each of his three targets for 19 yards. All three receptions came from QB Jayden Daniels on the opening drive, but Brown rotated with Olamide Zaccheaus while Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson played nearly all the first-team snaps. Coach Dan Quinn suggested all the roles are up for grabs behind McLaurin, leaving Dotson, Brown, Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey to compete for playing time. Brown has done well this preseason with five catches for 74 yards on six targets, but he might end up in a rotation even if he's a Week 1 starter for the first time since his 2021 rookie season.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Looking good at camp

Coach Dan Quinn said Thursday that Brown has stood out at training camp, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports. The 2021 third-round pick is in the final year of his rookie contract and hoping to impress a new coaching staff after catching only 29 passes over his first three seasons. It sounds like the new coaches have taken notice, perhaps giving Brown a chance to compete with Luke McCaffrey, Olamide Zaccheaus and others for the third and fourth spots at wide receiver. Incumbent starters Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson still top the depth chart and figure to take the lion's share of WR targets.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Held to one catch

Brown caught one of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants. An early ejection for Curtis Samuel didn't have much impact on Brown's playing time, as Byron Pringle and Jamison Crowder also took on some of the responsibilities of the No. 3 WR role. There's not much fantasy potential in an offense where even the top two wideouts -- Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson -- are struggling to produce.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Puts up 33 yards

Brown caught two of four targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Patriots. Brown took advantage of a small bump in playing time with Curtis Samuel (foot) inactive, though Jamison Crowder was the primary replacement in the slot and got 14 more snaps than Brown (37-23). Brown and Byron Pringle should continue rotating in Week 10 at Seattle, but neither is likely to see more than three or four targets.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Goes without catch in Week 6

Brown failed to reel in his lone target across 11 snaps on offense in Sunday's 24-16 win over Atlanta. Brown's 11 snaps tied his lowest total of the season. As the No. 4 receiver on the Washington depth chart, Brown will have a limited role on offense so long as all of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel are healthy.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Two grabs in loss

Brown secured two of this three targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles. Brown operated as the Commanders' No. 4 receiver Sunday, playing 25 of the team's 78 offensive snaps. Despite his limited opportunities, the veteran wideout was able to record his highest yardage total of the season so far. Even so, Brown is extremely difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production playing behind fellow pass catchers Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel and Logan Thomas in Washington's passing attack. The Commanders will host the Bears in Week 5.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: No catches

Brown was held without a catch on one target in Sunday's 37-3 loss to the Bills. The new Washington offense hasn't even been fruitful for the team's top three wide receivers, and Brown has caught only three passes in three weeks coming off the bench as the No. 4. He'll likely handle the same role Week 4 at Philadelphia.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Catches three passes

Brown caught each of his three targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 35-33 win over the Broncos. Brown has played 27 and now 33 percent of snaps in Washington's first two games, running routes on around one-third of Sam Howell's dropbacks as the No. 4 receiver. While unlikely to usurp Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson or Curtis Samuel on the depth chart, Brown could become a near-every-down player if one of the three misses time with an injury (especially McLaurin/Dotson). The whole group seemed to finish Sunday's win healthy, likely leaving Brown as the No. 4 WR again for Week 3 against Buffalo.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Scores TD, avoids concussion

Brown caught two of six targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 29-28 win over Baltimore. Brown was the No. 4 WR for the first-team offense and scored a touchdown at the end of the first half after Terry McLaurin left with a toe injury. Brown also took a few snaps prior to McLaurin's exit, and later played with the second-stringers after halftime, hauling in a 16-yard catch from Jacoby Brissett. To cap off his eventful night, Brown left the game to be checked for a concussion, and while he was quickly cleared he sat out the rest of the game anyway. The 2021 third-round pick has had a disappointing first two seasons in the NFL, but reports out of camp this year have been far more positive and it's possible McLaurin's toe injury opens up a top-three spot for Brown at WR in Week 1 against Arizona.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Clears concussion check

Brown (head) was cleared to return to Monday night's preseason game against the Ravens. Brown took a shot to the back of the head in the third quarter and had to be checked for a concussion. He evidently passed the sideline tests.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Getting checked for concussion

Brown exited Monday night's preseason game against the Ravens early to be checked for a concussion, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Prior to leaving in the third quarter, Brown was targeted six times and caught two passes for 27 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown from Sam Howell just before halftime. Brown is expected to open the season as the Commanders' fourth wideout.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Quiet year after Week 5

Brown finished the 2022 season with five catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 14 targets. The 2021 third-round pick made 15 appearances without ever playing even one-third of Washington's offensive snaps, though he did nearly lead the team to victory with TD catches of 75 and 30 yards in a 21-17 loss to the Titans in Week 5. Brown had caught just one pass before that and added only two more the rest of the season, while rookie wideout Jahan Dotson emerged as the big-play threat opposite Terry McLaurin with a 35-523-7 receiving line in 12 games. Brown may find himself on the roster bubble heading into 2023, as he has 308 receiving yards through two seasons and hasn't contributed much on special teams either.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Limited role in passing attack

Brown played 14 of the Commanders' 60 snaps on offense and finished with a 17-yard reception in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Falcons. Brown has logged just 19 combined snaps on offense in Washington's past two games and doesn't look as though he'll be in store for much playing time so long as fellow receivers Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Jahan Dotson are available moving forward.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Held without a catch

Brown finished without a catch on one target in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Minnesota. Brown and Cam Sims essentially split the No. 3 WR role with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) missing another game, only it was Dax Milne who found the end zone on his lone target while playing just 16 percent of snaps. None of the bunch projects for much target volume in an offense built around Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and the running backs. Brown at least seems to have moved past the groin injury that held him out Week 8, so it's possible he takes more snaps away from Sims if Dotson misses another game Week 10 at Philadelphia.
