  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Facing 12-week recovery

Nix is expected to require 12 weeks to heal after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair his broken right ankle, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. According to Schefter, Nix will be barred from putting weight on his right ankle for the next four weeks following surgery, and he'll then need around eight weeks to complete the rehab process before he's ready to resume on-field work. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network adds that Nix received good news upon undergoing surgery, as his injured ankle had "limited ligament damage and no joint surface damage." Given the estimated recovery timeline, Nix doesn't look like he'll be available for the start of Denver's offseason program, though he could be fully cleared for OTAs and minicamp in the late spring. With Nix sidelined for the duration of the Broncos' playoff run, Jarrett Stidham will step in as the team's starting quarterback in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Patriots.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Moved to injured reserve

The Broncos placed Nix (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Nix was already ruled out for the rest of the playoffs after breaking a bone in his ankle during the Broncos' 33-30 overtime win over the Bills during the AFC divisional round. His move to injured reserve is a procedural one, given that it opens a space on the Broncos' roster for center Luke Wattenberg (shoulder), who was activated from IR in a corresponding move. Jarrett Stidham will start at quarterback for the Broncos against the Patriots during Sunday's AFC Championship Game while Sam Ehlinger serves as the backup.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Season over due to ankle injury

Nix suffered a broken bone in his ankle in Saturday's 33-30 overtime win against Buffalo and will not return during the postseason, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports. Nix led the Broncos to a thrilling overtime win over the Bills, completing 26 of his 46 passes for 279 yards to go along with three touchdowns. He suffered the injury on the second-to-last play of the game and is set for surgery Tuesday. Jarrett Stidham will now be tasked with trying to lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Clutch performance in playoff win

Nix completed 26 of 46 passes for 279 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding 12 rushes for 29 yards in the Broncos' 33-30 divisional-round overtime win over the Bills on Saturday. He also fumbled once but recovered. Nix garnered his first career playoff win in spectacular fashion, leading the Broncos through a rollercoaster afternoon against Josh Allen and a talented Bills squad. After helping stake Denver to a 20-10 halftime lead with the help of seven- and 29-yard touchdown tosses to Frank Crum and Lil'Jordan Humphrey. Then, Nix answered after Allen and Buffalo turned a 23-10 second-half deficit to a 27-23 advantage, leading an eight-play, 73-yard march that he capped off with a beautifully thrown 26-yard scoring strike to Marvin Mims, one play after converting a third-and-4 with a six-yard scramble. Nix would subsequently spearhead a six-play game-winning drive in overtime that featured a 24-yard pass to RJ Harvey and a pair of critical pass-interference penalties versus the Bills on deep incompletions. Nix and the Broncos will now prepare to face off at home with the winner of Sunday's Texans-Patriots clash in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Jan. 25.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Win clinches first-round bye

Nix completed 14 of 23 pass attempts for 141 yards while taking eight carries for 49 yards in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Chargers. Nix put his athleticism on display against the Chargers by rushing for his most yards (49) in a single game this season. The 25-year-old fell short as a passer when he was held without a touchdown pass for the third time in 17 starts. The surging sophomore leaned on his defense and special teams to secure victory Sunday, a win that earned Denver the AFC's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye for the upcoming playoff schedule. Nix finishes the regular season completing 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while producing a 83-356-5 line on the ground. The Broncos will now await the results of the wild-card round before preparing for their opponent in the divisional round on either Jan. 17 or 18.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Start

As of Wednesday, we don't know who the Chargers plan to rest on defense in Week 18, but if they are sitting Justin Herbert then other key players will likely also be out to prepare for the playoffs. It's not a slam dunk to trust Nix since he's only scored more than 20 Fantasy points twice in his past seven outings. But we saw this scenario play out last year for Nix in Week 18 against Kansas City when the Chiefs rested starters, and Nix went off for 41.5 Fantasy points. I'm willing to take a chance on Nix in this matchup since the Chargers don't seem intent on trying to win this game.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Throws four touchdowns

Nix completed 23 of 34 passes for 302 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers. He added seven rushes for 10 yards. Nix topped 300 passing yards in a game for the third time this season, highlighted by five completions of at least 20 yards. Two of those went for touchdowns -- including a 23-yard strike over the middle of the field to Troy Franklin as the third quarter expired that gave the Broncos a lead they wouldn't relinquish. He also tacked on a pair of additional touchdown passes from five and 14 yards away to match his season high. Considering the strength of Green Bay's defense, this was one of Nix's most impressive showings of the season, particularly considering he hadn't accounted for multiple scores since Week 9.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Sit

Nix comes into Week 15 against the Packers having scored 18.4 Fantasy points or less in four games in a row, and he hasn't scored multiple touchdowns since Week 9. It will be tough to trust him in one-quarterback leagues against Green Bay, even at home, since the Packers have allowed just one guy to score more than 18.9 Fantasy points in their past six games, including matchups with Jalen Hurts and Caleb Williams over that span. Nix is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in this game.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

The Broncos have allowed more than 21 Fantasy points in their past two games against Marcus Mariota in Week 14 and the combination of Geno Smith and Kenny Pickett in Week 15, but this is still a difficult matchup since Denver is No. 5 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks for the season. We'll see if Love can overcome this defense, and he's hot right now with at least 21.7 Fantasy points in three of his past four games, including two outings on the road at the Giants and Lions. But Love has also struggled in some tough matchups against Philadelphia in Week 10 and Minnesota in Week 12, and he scored 7.8 Fantasy points or less in each of those two games. I'm still starting Love in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues, but I would bench him in one-quarterback leagues in Week 15.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Scores early in win over LV

Nix completed 31 of 38 pass attempts for 212 yards while adding three carries for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win against Las Vegas. Nix was methodical against the Raiders' coverage Sunday, completing over 80 percent of his pass attempts en route to earning his team's 11th victory of the season. The Broncos played an excellent game of ball control, nearly doubling the opposition's 20:57 time of possession. This was exhibited best on Denver's opening drive that ate up just under nine minutes of game clock, which culminated in Nix's fourth rushing touchdown of the season, tying the mark he set last year as a rookie. The Broncos' special teams and running game finished off the Raiders, which helped contribute to the signal-caller's pedestrian individual contribution to fantasy managers' box scores in Week 14. Nix will face a stiffer test next time out when the Broncos host the Packers next Sunday.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Sit

All of Nix's flaws were on display in Week 10 on Thursday night against Las Vegas when he was 16-of-28 passing for 150 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, and he added minus-2 rushing yards. He scored 7.8 Fantasy points, which snapped his three-game streak of scoring at least 22.5 points, but his performance in reality hasn't been equal to his Fantasy production for most of the season. This week, Nix should struggle against the Chiefs, who are No. 10 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only two guys have thrown multiple touchdowns against this defense. Last year, in one competitive game against Kansas City in Week 10 (the Chiefs rested their starters in Week 18), Nix scored 20.1 Fantasy points. But I wouldn't trust him in this matchup, and he's only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Ragged showing in Week 10 win

Nix completed 16 of 28 passes for 150 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while rushing five times for minus-2 yards in the Broncos' 10-7 win over the Raiders on Thursday night. Nix's final line wasn't aesthetically pleasing by any stretch, but the second-year signal-caller did just enough to help his team to its eighth victory in 10 games. Nix connected with Troy Franklin on a tight-window seven-yard touchdown pass late in the first half to erase an early 7-0 deficit, and his second interception, which could have had disastrous consequences, also came on a pass intended for Franklin that bounced off the receiver's hands at the Broncos' 45-yard line just after the halfway point of the fourth quarter. Daniel Carlson would go on to miss a game-tying field goal on the Raiders' ensuing possession, and Nix subsequently led a 10-play, 47-yard drive that allowed Denver to run out the clock. Nix has just a 4:4 TD:INT over his last three games, and he'll have a tougher matchup on tap on Sunday, Nov. 16 when the Broncos host the Chiefs in a Week 11 divisional showdown.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: QBs to Start

We love Nix whenever he's at home, and he scored a combined 75.6 Fantasy points in his past two games in Denver against the Giants and Cowboys. He's also averaging 28.5 Fantasy points in his past 12 home games going back to last season. Nix scored 22.5 Fantasy points in a tough rough game last week at Houston, and he should stay hot in this game against the Raiders, who have allowed three of the past four opposing quarterbacks to score at least 21.2 Fantasy points. Nix also scored at least 23.4 Fantasy points in two games against the Raiders in 2024, and he has top-five upside in all leagues in this matchup.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: More comeback magic in Week 9

Nix completed 18 of 37 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 18-15 win over the Texans. He added 36 rushing yards on three carries. The Broncos didn't score their first points until late in the second quarter against a tough Houston defense, on Nix's 30-yard toss to Courtland Sutton, and they trailed 15-7 heading into the fourth, but the second-year QB found a way to get it done in the clutch yet again. After finding RJ Harvey for a 27-yard TD early in the final frame and adding a two-point conversion to Troy Franklin, Nix set up the game-winning field goal with his legs on runs of 25 and nine yards in the final minute of the game. Nix will take a 17:6 TD:INT through nine starts into a Week 10 clash with the Raiders.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Nix was exceptional as the Start of the Week in Week 8 against Dallas with 31.8 Fantasy points, and he has 75.6 points in his past two outings against the Giants and Cowboys. But those were favorable matchups at home, and now he has to face the Texans on the road. Houston is No. 1 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and Baker Mayfield in Week 2 and Mac Jones in Week 8 are the only quarterbacks with more than 15.6 points against the Texans this year, including matchups with Matthew Stafford, Trevor Lawrence, and Sam Darnold. I would only start Nix in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 9.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Another four-score game Sunday

Nix completed 19 of 29 pass attempts for 247 yards, four touchdowns and one interception while losing one yard on his only carry in Sunday's 44-24 win over the Cowboys. Nix has produced four scores for fantasy managers in consecutive appearances, using his arm for all four trips to the end zone against a depleted Dallas secondary this time around. The sophomore signal-caller leaned on his younger receiving options Sunday, dialing up second-year wideout Troy Franklin in the end zone twice and rookies Pat Bryant and RJ Harvey once each. Nix is proving his standout rookie campaign was no fluke, checking in with 1,803 passing yards and 15 touchdowns to five interceptions near the midpoint of the regular season. The 25-year-old will look to keep his hot streak alive against Houston's stingy defense next Sunday.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Start of the Week

Nix was having a miserable game in Week 7 against the Giants, and Denver entered the fourth quarter down 19-0. The Broncos stormed back to win the game 33-32, and Nix became the first player in NFL history to score two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns in a quarter. He finished with 43.9 Fantasy points, and he should stay hot heading into Week 8 against Dallas. The Cowboys are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and every team this season has scored at least 23.7 Fantasy points against Dallas, including three quarterbacks with at least 32.3 points. Nix has also been awesome at home, and in his past 11 games at Denver going back to last year, he averages 28.2 Fantasy points. I love Nix as a top-five Fantasy quarterback in this matchup for Week 8.

  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Top DFS Play

It has been an up-and-down year for Nix, but the Cowboys should provide a great opportunity to build on last week's 40-point outburst. This is a great matchup, partially because of the Cowboys defense but also because no one is stopping that offense, which should keep Nix passing. Nix also has five or more rush attempts in five of seven games, which boosts his floor and his ceiling.
... See More ... See Less
  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Sleeper QBs

Nix falls into sleeper territory because he's scored more than 20 Fantasy points just once in his past four games, and he's coming off a down performance in Week 6 against the Jets in London with 15.4 Fantasy points. But I expect him to bounce back in Week 7 against the Giants at home. In his past 10 games at home, going back to last year, Nix averages 26.7 Fantasy points. And the Giants have allowed three quarterbacks this season to score at least 22.1 Fantasy points, including two on the road with Jayden Daniels and Dak Prescott. Nix should be considered a low-end starter in all leagues.
... See More ... See Less
  • Broncos' Bo Nix: Throws for 326 yards in MNF win

Nix completed 29 of 42 pass attempts for 326 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while rushing six times for seven yards and a third score in Monday's 28-3 win over the Bengals. Nix took full advantage of a cushy matchup and cracked the 300-yard mark in passing for the first time this season. The athletic signal-caller also punched in his first rushing touchdown of the year on a six-yard scamper in the first quarter that wound up being the game-winning score. While this was easily Nix's best performance to date in 2025, fantasy managers may want to keep expectations in check for a road tilt against a far-more talented Philadelphia defense in Week 5.
