  • Titans' Treylon Burks: No stats in Week 2

Burks was targeted once but did not record a catch in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Jets. Burks saw his snap rate fall from 70 percent in Week 1 to 50 percent Sunday. That was primarily due to DeAndre Hopkins ramping up his workload, and that trend will likely continue as the season progresses.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Limited to three touches

Burks recorded one reception (on two targets) for two yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Bears. He added two rushes for one yard. Burks was on the field for 44 offensive snaps, which was more than expected as DeAndre Hopkins was severely limited due to an ongoing knee issue. Despite the opportunity, Burks made a limited impact on the game as his longest gain went for only six yards.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Back at practice

Burks participated in practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Per Wyatt, Burks, who left Wednesday's practice with a trainer after landing hard on the field, appeared unhindered Thursday, which sets the stage for the wideout to be available for Sunday's preseason finale against the Saints. The Titans remain hopeful that DeAndre Hopkins (knee) will be ready for Week 1 action, but in the meantime, Burks is in a position to see added WR reps alongside Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Exits practice Wednesday

Burks left Wednesday's practice with a trainer after landing hard on the field, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Wyatt notes that Burks held his back/hip area as he left the field late in the session, but was walking under his own power. Until added context is available, consider the wideout day-to-day as Sunday's preseason finale against the Saints approaches.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Takes field with first unit

Burks hauled in his lone target for 12 yards in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over the 49ers. Burks continues to run with the first-unit offense alongside Calvin Ridley while DeAndre Hopkins (knee) remains questionable for the start of the regular season. The larger role would certainly boost Burks' fantasy stock, which took a hit following the signing of Ridley this past offseason. Even when the Titans' veteran wideouts are healthy, Burks figures to remain a part of the passing game in a slot role.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Opportunity knocks

With DeAndre Hopkins possibly in line to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee issue, Burks is slated to see first-team reps in the meantime, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports. While the Titans are are optimistic about Hopkins' return, the initial timetable on that front suggests that he's not a lock to be ready for Week 1 action. In the event that Hopkins is out or limited early on this season, Burks would be in line to see added opportunities alongside fellow WRs Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Still has role in crowded WR room

Coach Brian Callahan said Thursday that Burks still has a role in Tennessee's wide receiver corps after the team's signing of veteran slot specialist Tyler Boyd, Nick Suss of the Nashville Tennessean reports. Callahan said of Burks' offseason "the work that he's put in has been really impressive," per Turron Davenport of ESPN, but the 2022 first-round pick may nonetheless have slid to No. 4 on the depth chart following Boyd's arrival, with Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins entrenched as Will Levis' clear top targets. The 225-pound wideout could still certainly have untapped potential, as he's battled injuries throughout the first two years of his NFL career, but his path to consistent opportunities has grown murkier despite Tennessee most ignoring the WR position in April's draft. For fantasy purposes, at least, Burks' prospects for 2024 will look dim if he's not able to beat out Boyd for the No. 3 role in training camp. Callahan did, at least, say that Burks will earn opportunities to line up both inside and outside.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Drops to third on depth chart

Burks profiles as the Titans' No. 3 receiver following the signing of Calvin Ridley, according to Mike Moraitis of Titans Wire. Assuming the Titans keep DeAndre Hopkins, there's really no room for Burks to sit any higher than third on the depth chart, even though he was a first-round pick just two years ago. The 225-pound WR missed six games in each of his first two NFL seasons while battling a variety of injuries, and he dropped from 444 yards as a rookie to 221 in his second season. From a real-life standpoint, Burks might actually be better off in a low-pressure role as the No. 3 receiver behind two established starters, but the tough competition for snaps and targets equates to a lower fantasy ceiling / lesser breakout odds all the same. The worst-case scenario would entail Burks losing the No. 3 role and sliding even further down Tennessee's depth chart.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Not targeted in season finale

Burks was not targeted in Sunday's 28-20 win over the Jaguars. Burks was a popular breakout selection throughout the offseason, though he underwhelmed significantly by recording only 16 catches for 221 yards and no touchdowns across 11 games. In part, the depressed numbers were due to a concussion and a knee injury that combined to sideline him for five games. However, Burks made little impact even when he was on the field, as he topped 50 receiving yards in only two games. He'll be entering a pivotal third season and will need to find a way to stay healthy and consistently command targets in Tennessee's offense to break out, though he hasn't shown the ability to do either early in his career.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Underwhelms against Seattle

Burks recorded two catches on three targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Seahawks. Burks was coming off one of his better games of the season in Week 15, but he disappeared once again against Seattle. He was hurt by the Titans' run-heavy game plan, though he still finished fourth on the team in targets but failed to make any explosive plays. Injuries have held Burks in check for what was supposed to be a breakout season, but he'll look to close the campaign strong with divisional matchups against the Texans and Jaguars.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Sees uptick in snaps

Burks recorded one catch on three targets for one yard in Monday's 28-27 win over the Dolphins. Burks saw his role tick up in his second game back from a concussion, as he participated in 65 percent of offensive snaps Monday. However, that didn't translate to more production, and he now has only one catch in two games since returning. Given the lack of reliable pass catchers in Tennessee's offense, it's possible that Burks can increase his production by the close of the regular season, but there's been no sign of that to this point.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Could play more this week

Head coach Mike Vrabel said Wednesday that he hopes to get more snaps for Burks in Monday's game against the Dolphins, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. After missing three games with a concussion, Burks returned to action for Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to Indianapolis, finishing without a target on nine snaps. Burks might take playing time away from fellow wide receivers Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chris Moore down the stretch, though Vrabel stopped short of saying that's definitely what will happen. The 2022 first-round pick has missed 12 of a possible 29 games in his career, averaging 2.4 catches for 33.3 yards with just one touchdown in 17 appearances.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Limited role in return

Burks (concussion) was not targeted in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Colts. Burks returned from a three-game absence but was on the field for only nine offensive snaps. His role will presumably tick back up as he adjusts to game action, though the Tennessee offense has struggled to sustain consistent production for its pass catchers throughout the season.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Practices fully, but listed as questionable

Burks (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks, who suffered a concussion Nov. 2 and hasn't played since, was listed as a full practice participant Thursday and Friday, but the wideout still has to gain final clearance from the NFL's protocol for head injuries in order to suit up for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET contest. If Burks is able to play Week 13, he'd profile as a hit-or-miss fantasy option, given that prior to being sidelined the 2022 first-rounder logged a modest 8-122-0 line on 18 targets through five games.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Won't play Sunday

Burks (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks last suited up Week 9 and will now miss a third straight contest. His continued absence should lead to increased reps at receiver for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Moore and Kyle Philips. Burks' next chance to return to action will come Dec. 3 versus the Colts.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Still not practicing

Burks (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks, who has missed the Titans' last two games, still has two more opportunities to take the practice field ahead of Sunday's contest against the Panthers. If Burks remains out this weekend, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Moore and Kyle Philips could continue to see expanded snaps behind No. 1 wideout DeAndre Hopkins.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Won't play against Jaguars

Burks (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks thus is slated to miss his second straight game and now will target a potential return to action Sunday, Nov. 26 against the Panthers. In his continued absence, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Moore and Kyle Philips are in line to see increased WR snaps behind top option DeAndre Hopkins.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Won't play Sunday

Burks (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. With Burks ruled out for the contest, DeAndre Hopkins will continue to headline the Titans' receiving corps in Week 10 and will be supported by Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Moore and Kyle Philips. Burks will target a potential return to action Nov. 19 against the Jaguars.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Still not practicing

Burks (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks, who didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, is trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. If he ends up ruled out for the contest, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Chris Moore and Kyle Philips would be in line to see added opportunities behind No. 1 receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Spotted with team after loss

Burks (head) was spotted leaving the Titans' locker room following their 20-16 loss to the Steelers, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Burks took a hard fall along the sideline after a deep target late in the game. He exited on a backboard with an apparently serious injury, so the fact that he was still with the team and walking under his own power is a positive sign. More details about the nature of the injury will likely emerge in the coming days.
