  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Modest numbers in SB win

Smith-Njigba brought in four of 10 targets for 27 yards during the Seahawks' 29-13 win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Sunday. The star receiver couldn't put together anything resembling the typical caliber of performance that earned him the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award earlier in the week, as Christian Gonzalez's blanket coverage freqently served to short-circuit the often prolific Sam Darnold-Smith-Njigba connection. Smith-Njigba also exited the game for a spell in the second half to be evaluated for a possible concussion, but he was able to return shortly thereafter. He did have a couple of particularly close calls that could have made his night much different, as Gonzalez made an excellent diving breakup of a would-be touchdown pass to the talented wideout, and Darnold also missed him running free deep late in the first quarter. Despite the quiet finish to the Super Bowl run, Smith-Njigba will head into the 2026 season as an upper-echelon fantasy asset that will be snapped up in the very early stages of the first round of drafts next summer.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Clears concussion evaluation

Smith-Njigba (head) returned in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LX against the Patriots on Sunday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Smith-Njigba was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a possible concussion, but he was cleared to return and was back on the field for the Seahawks early in the fourth quarter. He caught three passes (on nine targets) for 24 yards prior to his exit.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Possible concussion

Smith-Njigba is being evaluated for a possible concussion and is questionable to return to Super Bowl LX against the Patriots on Sunday. Smith-Njigba was evaluated by medical staff after his helmet bounced off the turf, and he's gone to the locker room to undergo further testing to determine whether he can return to Sunday's game. Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, AJ Barner and Kenneth Walker will step into larger roles in the passing game for as long as Smith-Njigba is out of the game.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Named best offensive player

Smith-Njigba was named the 2025 Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Smith-Njigba established himself as one of the best receivers in the league in 2025, as he led all pass catchers with 1,793 yards. He was named a First-Team All-Pro in January and now adds to his honors by narrowly beating Christian McCaffrey and Puka Nacua to be named Offensive Player of the Year. Smith-Njigba will very likely be the primary driver of the Seattle passing game in Sunday's Super Bowl LX matchup against the Patriots.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Dominant in NFCCG victory

Smith-Njigba hauled in 10 of 12 targets for 153 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-27 win against the Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Smith-Njigba was far busier in the NFC Championship Game after a run-heavy game script limited the star wideout to a 3-19-1 receiving line against the 49ers in the wild-card round. The league's leading receiver simply couldn't be covered Sunday as he routinely created separation from whatever defender Los Angeles assigned to cover him. JSN was particularly wide open when he hit pay dirt after lining up out of the backfield in the closing moments of the second quarter, giving Seattle the lead heading into halftime. Smith-Njigba has risen to the occasion at every step during his breakout 2025 campaign, culminating in his greatest opportunity to shine on Feb. 8 against the Patriots in Super Bowl LX.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Scores in blowout win

Smith-Njigba recorded three receptions on four targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 41-6 divisional-round win over the 49ers. The Seahawks held a commanding lead for nearly the entire game, leading to only 17 pass attempts. That resulted in a modest stat line for Smith-Njigba, though he did manage an impressive four-yard catch in the back corner of the end zone to put the team up 17-0 late in the first quarter. Seattle will very likely be pushed more in the NFC Championship Game, and Smith-Njigba will remain Sam Darnold's primary target.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Records 84 yards in win

Smith-Njigba recorded six receptions on eight targets for 84 yards in Saturday's 13-3 win over the 49ers. The Seahawks played from ahead and were satisfied with relying on their run game, meaning Sam Darnold attempted only 26 passes. Smith-Njigba still managed a solid eight targets, double the amount of any other Seattle pass catcher. Half of his six receptions also went for over 15 yards, helping him top 80 receiving yards for the fourth time in his last five games. With the performance, Smith-Njigba ends the regular season with 118 receptions for 1,793 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Top DFS Play

The main slate is thin at wide receiver with Puka Nacua, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and George Pickens all playing primetime games. I think that makes it more important to spend up for Smith-Njigba, who is projected to outscore every wide receiver on the main slate by at least two PPR Fantasy points.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Surges after first-half blanking

Smith-Njigba secured eight of 13 targets for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' 38-37 overtime win over the Rams on Thursday night. Smith-Njigba was shockingly shut out in the first half, but the star wideout made up for it in the second half and overtime. The star wideout delivered his touchdown in the extra period to get Seattle within a point before Eric Saubert snagged a game-winning two-point conversion reception. Prior to the scoring catch, Smith-Njigba also recorded a critical 17-yard reception earlier in the possession to move the Seahawks into Rams territory, and he finished with his best reception tally in the last four games. Smith-Njigba will head into a Week 17 road matchup against the Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 28 with a 104-1,637-10 line on a whopping 143 targets.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Records ninth 100-yard game

Smith-Njigba corralled seven of nine targets for 113 yards in Sunday's 18-16 win over the Colts. Smith-Njigba recorded his ninth 100-plus yard game of the season as he continues to terrorize opposing defenses. The 23-year-old currently sits four receptions shy of hitting the 100-catch mark in consecutive seasons. Despite nearly matching last year's total, JSN has already outproduced his sophomore campaign by 411 yards and three touchdowns in three fewer appearances. Smith-Njigba will continue being the focal point of Seattle's offense in an NFC West showdown against the Rams on Thursday Night Football in Week 16.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Falls victim to game script

Smith-Njigba finished with two receptions on four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Vikings. Smith-Njigba's fantasy managers suffered through an unfavorable game script that saw Seattle's defense and rushing attack take care of Minnesota in Week 13. QB Sam Darnold completed just 54 percent of his passes while failing to establish any rhythm while the game was still competitive in the first half. The end result was Smith-Njigba's worst fantasy score of 2025, which comes on the heels of his most-dominant showing against the Titans last Sunday (8-167-2). JSN is still the clear WR1 in fantasy this season even with this dud, carrying a sparkling 82-1,336-7 receiving line into next Sunday's tilt against the Falcons.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Top DFS Play

Smith-Njigba is $10,000 this week on FanDuel. That's still not high enough. He had 36 points last week against Tennessee and has topped 25 in four of his last seven games. He has one game below 17 half PPR points all season. Save money somewhere else.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Season-best performance

Smith-Njigba recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 167 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Titans. He added one rush for four yards. Smith-Njigba was the only threat in the Seattle passing game, as he accounted for half of Sam Darnold's completions and over two-thirds of his passing yards. That damage came primarily on a pair of receptions over 50 yards, including a 63-yard catch deep down the right sideline to begin the second quarter. The second was a 56-yard grab, which he followed up with a 13-yard score two plays later. Smith-Njigba set a season-high in receiving yards with the performance and now has 100 yards in eight of his 11 contests.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Sets new career mark Sunday

Smith-Njigba corralled nine of 12 targets for 105 yards while adding 11 yards on one carry in Sunday's 21-19 loss to the Rams. Smith-Njigba needed just 89 receiving yards in order to surpass last year's career-best mark of 1,130 yards. The breakout fantasy star completed the personal achievement comfortably Sunday, and in seven fewer contests to boot. It was JSN's seventh 100-yard game in 10 appearances this season, a feat he accomplished just three times in 2024, to continue putting his ascension into perspective. Smith-Njigba figures to continue producing WR1 numbers as the Seahawks look to get back into the win column against the Titans next Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Gains 140 yards on SNF

Smith-Njigba corralled eight of nine targets for 129 yards while gaining 11 rushing yards on one attempt in Sunday's 38-14 win over Washington. Smith-Njigba extended his impressive streak of recording over 100 receiving yards to four games in Sunday's one-sided affair. It was the breakout superstar's sixth time cracking the century mark in eight starts this year, resulting in a ridiculous 58-948-4 receiving line over that span. JSN will have a prime opportunity to extend his impressive streak of posting triple-digit totals in Week 10 when the Seahawks face the Cardinals' bottom-third ranked pass defense.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Another dominant showing

Smith-Njigba finished with eight receptions (on 14 targets) for 123 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-19 win over the Texans. Smith-Njigba turned in another stellar fantasy performance while pacing the Seahawks in every receiving category on Monday Night Football. It was the budding superstar's third consecutive game recording at least 100 receiving yards while also scoring a touchdown. Smith-Njigba bumped his season totals up to 50-819-4 heading into Seattle's upcoming Week 8 bye, which has the Ohio State product on pace to finish 11 yards shy of a 2,000-yard campaign. He'll continue his ascension towards the peak of fantasy stardom when the Seahawks take on the Commanders on Sunday, Nov. 2.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Reels in first TD of 2025

Smith-Njigba (illness) finished with five receptions on six targets for 96 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-13 win over the Saints. Smith-Njigba was battling an illness that he had to power through in order to suit up Sunday. Fantasy managers were grateful that he did after Sam Darnold dialed up his No. 1 option for a 12-yard score on Seattle's opening possession. It was Smith-Njigba's first trip to the end zone in 2025, complementing healthy averages of 7.3 receptions and 107.7 yards through three contests. JSN is coming into his own as the Seahawks prepare to face the Cardinals in a matchup of 2-1 NFC West squads on Thursday Night Football in Week 4.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Likely to play through illness

Smith-Njigba (illness) remains listed as questionable heading into Sunday's game against the Saints, but his availability for the Week 3 contest is unlikely to be affected while he bounces back from an unspecified "bug," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Smith-Njigba wasn't included on the injury report all week before the Seahawks designated him as questionable Saturday after he came down with an illness. According to Schefter, the Seahawks gave the third-year wideout the questionable tag seemingly as a precaution more than anything else, but the team will wait and see how Smith-Njigba is feeling upon reporting to Lumen Field on Sunday morning before confirming that he'll suit up. Official word on Smith-Njigba's status will arrive when the Seahawks release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Now questionable due to illness

Smith-Njigba is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Saints due to an illness. Smith-Njigba wasn't listed on any of the Seahawks' Week 3 injury reports, but after coming down with an illness, his status now will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. Through two games this season, he's been one of the few bright spots in Seattle's offense, hauling in 17 of 22 targets for 227 yards and no touchdowns.

  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Leading receiver in losing effort

Smith-Njigba finished with nine receptions on 13 targets for 124 yards with a lost fumble in Sunday's 17-13 loss to San Francisco. Smith-Njigba had his coming out party as the unquestioned No. 1 option in Seattle following the departure of DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh this past offseason. The 23-year-old Smith-Njigba received 10 more looks than the next receiver (Cooper Kupp), immediately becoming new starting quarterback Sam Darnold's favorite target. JSN did suffer from a case of fumblitis when he put two balls on the ground (losing possession of one), something the wideout will surely work to clean up in practice. Smith-Njigba will look to build off a promising start to the campaign when the Seahawks take on the Steelers next Sunday.
