  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Makes impact as receiver

White rushed 10 times for 31 yards and brought in six of seven targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the 49ers on Sunday. White logged three fewer carries and 42 fewer yards than backfield mate Bucky Irving, but he set the pace in receptions and receiving yards while checking in second in targets. White also recorded his career-high fourth receiving touchdown of the season with a nine-yard scoring grab early in the third quarter, and he'll face a Giants defense that just allowed 153 rushing yards to the Panthers' Chuba Hubbard in Week 12 following Tampa Bay's Week 11 bye.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Records receiving TD in loss

White rushed six times for 29 yards and secured five of six targets for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 31-26 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. White's day started off in less than ideal fashion when he fumbled on the second play from scrimmage, but the third-year back bounced back with a serviceable all-around day salvaged by his third receiving touchdown of the campaign. White found the end zone from 18 yards out early in the second quarter and tied his second-highest catch total of the season, but he notably saw three fewer carries than backfield mate Bucky Irving. The Buccaneers' backfield figures to continue being difficult to decipher in a Week 9 road matchup against the Chiefs on Monday night, Nov. 4.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Back in action Monday

White (foot) is listed as active Monday against the Ravens. While sitting out Week 6 due to a foot issue, White yielded the Buccaneers backfield to Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker, who combined for 219 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries, plus five catches on five targets for 80 yards and one more TD. Both Irving and Tucker eclipsed the century mark on the ground, with the former starting and handling a 64 percent snap share and the latter getting a 38 percent share. Because coach Todd Bowles told Scott Smith of the team's official site last Thursday that Tampa Bay will roll with the "hot hand" at running back, White can no longer expect to see the 13.6 touches per game that he received prior to suffering the injury.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Listed as questionable for Monday

White (foot) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Ravens, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports. White did upgrade to a full participant in Saturday's practice, which is usually a positive indication for one's likelihood to play. White's availability also impacts the duo of Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker, who broke out in a big way in the dominant win over the Saints last week. Head coach Todd Bowles relayed earlier this week that when all three backs are healthy, he anticipates the team will roll with the "hot hand," an ambiguous statement that could be a frustrating one for fantasy managers reliant on any of three options out of the backfield.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Limited in practice again

White (foot) was a limited practice participant Friday. White also was limited Thursday, after missing the final two practices of last week and being inactive for a 51-27 win over the Saints. It sounds like offensive coordinator Liam Coen expects White to play Monday against the Ravens, as Coen said Friday that White, Sean Tucker and Bucky Irving each will get a series early in the game, per Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site. Head coach Todd Bowles made similar comments Thursday, discussing a three-man backfield with a "hot hand" approach. It's certainly possible White makes a bid to retake the lead role, but his days of snap shares in the 70-to-80 percent range are over for the time being.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Limited Thursday

White (foot) practiced on a limited basis Thursday. White is kicking off Week 7 prep the same way he did last week, but he also didn't practice last Thursday and Friday before being listed as doubtful and eventually inactive this past Sunday at New Orleans. In White's place, Bucky Irving (64 percent of snaps) and Sean Tucker (38 percent) manned the Buccaneers backfield, and both players had highly productive performances. Irving racked up 16 touches for 105 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD, while Tucker had 17 touches for 192 total yards and two TDs. Coach Todd Bowles relayed to Scott Smith of the team's official site Thursday that Tampa bay will roll with the "hot hand" at running back once White is healthy. As a result, even of White is able to suit up Monday against the Ravens, he may not be the preferred option among the trio.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Listed as doubtful

White (foot) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Saints, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Coach Todd Bowles referred to White as a game-time decision earlier Friday, and while that usually corresponds with a questionable designation, it turns out the running back is considered highly unlikely to play. Backfield mate Bucky Irving is set up for the largest workload of his young career, assuming the Bucs declare White inactive ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Game-time decision

Coach Todd Bowles said Friday that White (foot) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Saints, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports. White was a limited participant Wednesday and didn't practice Thursday. An absence this Sunday likely would lead to Bucky Irving handling his biggest role yet, after the two running backs split work pretty evenly the past three weeks. Tampa Bay and New Orleans are scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Doesn't practice Thursday

White (foot) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports. White endured a downgrade from Wednesday's limited session as he tends to a foot issue, which could indicate a few things. The Buccaneers could be taking a cautious approach with the issue, but, on the other hand, he may have suffered a setback. White thus will have one more chance to prove his health before the team potentially makes a call on his availability ahead of Sunday's contest at New Orleans.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: RBs to Sit

White will again share touches with Bucky Irving, and that caps the upside for both on a weekly basis. White is averaging just 7.9 PPR points in his past four games, and he's yet to score a touchdown this season. He also had just five total receptions in the past two games, and it's frustrating that he's not more involved in the passing game. Last year, White combined for just 19.4 PPR points in two games against New Orleans, and White should only be used as a flex option at best in the majority of leagues.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Dealing with foot issue

White was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury. White has yet to reach the end zone through five games this season, but he's at least been more efficient on the ground the last two contests, averaging 6.0 yards on his 20 carries. Rookie fourth-round pick Bucky Irving has been nearly as crisp all season, with 5.6 YPC and a touchdown on his 44 rushes. Now that White has made an appearance on the Buccaneers' first Week 6 practice report, his status will need to be watched as the week continues to get a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday at New Orleans.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Season-best effort in loss

White rushed 10 times for 72 yards and secured all three targets for minus-6 yards in the Buccaneers' 36-30 overtime loss to the Falcons on Thursday night. White notably logged one more carry and target apiece than surging rookie backfield mate Bucky Irving, who also had a costly fourth-quarter fumble. White also posted a season-best rushing yardage total by a wide margin, and after averaging a minuscule 2.1 yards per carry over the first three games of the season, the Arizona State product has bounced back to compile 121 rushing yards on 20 carries over the subsequent pair of contests. The third-year back has yet to find the end zone as either runner or receiver, however, a matter he next gets a chance to rectify during a Week 6 road tilt against the Saints on Sunday, Oct. 13.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: RBs to Sit

White is still playing more snaps than Bucky Irving, but the rookie might be on the verge of taking over the starting job in Tampa Bay. White actually had a good outing in Week 4 against Philadelphia with 10 carries for 49 yards and two catches for 35 yards on three targets, but his role in the passing game has shrunk. He only has eight catches in his past three games on 10 targets, and Irving had 10 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles with one catch for 6 yards on two targets. I would only use White and Irving as flex options this week against the Falcons, who are No. 9 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. Alvin Kamara, in Week 4 is the lone running back to score a touchdown against Atlanta this year.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Expected to play through illness

White, who is listed as questionable with an illness, is expected to play in Week 4, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. White came down with a case of food poisoning but is already feeling better. Teammate Bucky Irving (hamstring) is listed as questionable but is also expected to play.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Practicing Friday

White (groin) is practicing Friday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports. White returned to last week's win over Detroit after injuring his groin in the first half, ultimately play 71 percent of Tampa Bay's snaps on offense. He then managed limited practice participation Wednesday and Thursday, suggesting he's on track to play this Sunday against the Broncos. It's nonetheless possible White gets a designation on Tampa's final injury report Friday afternoon.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: RBs to Start

This could be a big week for White, and hopefully, he does well against the Broncos. He's off to a terrible start running the ball with 25 carries for 49 yards, and thankfully, he caught six passes for 75 yards on six targets in Week 1 against Washington to boost his Fantasy production. Otherwise, we'd really be in a panic. Bucky Irving could be ready for more work, and White is dealing with a minor groin injury, which is something to monitor. But as long as he's able to play against Denver, you should still consider White a No. 2 running back in all leagues. The Broncos have allowed 11 running backs to score at least 12.1 PPR points in their past nine road games going back to last season, including Kenneth Walker III (18.9) and Zach Charbonnet (12.1) in Week 1. This should be a get-right game for White, given the matchup at home. And if White is ruled out with the groin injury, then Irving would be a must-start running back in all leagues.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Limited at practice Wednesday

White (groin) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports. White made a brief exit from this past Sunday's win at Detroit due to the groin injury, but he still handled a majority share of snaps (34 of 48) and touches (11) out of the Buccaneers backfield over backup Bucky Irving (17 and seven, respectively). On Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported that White's health concern wasn't considered to be major, and his ensuing activity level Wednesday indicates the Buccaneers are taking a cautious approach with their starting running back. White has two more chances to get back to full activity this week before the team potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's game versus the Broncos.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Has minor groin injury

White sustained a groin injury during Sunday's 20-16 win over the Lions, but the issue is not considered major, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. White was effectively contained by Detroit on Sunday, rushing just 10 times for 18 yards while securing his only target for five yards. He picked up the groin issue in the first half and was briefly forced off the field, but the starting running back managed to return without missing much time. White's injury doesn't currently seem likely to impact his availability versus the Broncos in Week 3, but he's averaging a paltry 2.0 YPC through two games to begin the 2024 season. If White's groin issue seems to hamper him as a runner in practice this week, Tampa Bay could elect to give Bucky Irving more opportunities on the ground against Denver.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Returns to game

White has returned to Sunday's game against the Lions after exiting the contest with a groin injury. Evidently the issue was minor, with White back in the game to continue to lead the Bucs' Week 2 backfield. Bucky Irvingand Sean Tucker remain on hand to work in complementary roles behind White.

  • Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Contrarian DFS Play

While I won't deny that Irving looked much better than White running the ball, this is a game that should have a completely different game script. Tampa will do their best to keep up with the Lions in Week 2, and that could mean 40-plus pass attempts from Baker Mayfield. That's what happened when they played in Detroit in the playoffs, and White produced 19.1 PPR Fantasy points. Best of all, no one is going to want to play White this week after what they saw last week.
