Manning reverted to the Bears' IR on Aug. 31 after clearing waivers. The cornerback played in the first two preseason games with the team, logging 11 tackles (nine solo) and two passes defensed. The second-year player out of Oregon has already cleared waivers and is now a free agent able to sign with any franchise.

Manning recorded 11 total tackles (nine solo) during the preseason, but it appears as if the cornerback picked up an undisclosed injury along the way. If the 24-year-old clears waivers, he'll revert to season-ending injured reserve with Chicago. If that is the case, Manning would have to reach an injury settlement with the Bears to have a chance to play during the 2026 campaign.
