Bankier just wrapped up his entry-level contract. He's posted 35 goals and 34 assists over three seasons (185 contests) with AHL Iowa in his professional career. The forward hasn't taken a step forward on offense in that time, which makes it unlikely he'll get his NHL debut in 2026-27.

Bankier (undisclosed) was activated from season-opening injured reserve and reassigned to AHL Iowa on Wednesday, per CapFriendly.
Bankier will get to play his first full season at the AHL level after missing the first two months of the campaign. He signed his entry-level deal in March after posting 62 points in 44 games with WHL Kamloops last season.
