  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Returns to AHL

Brind'Amour was sent to AHL Chicago on Wednesday. Brind'Amour got into Carolina's final four regular-season games of 2025-26 as part of the Hurricanes' strategy of resting veterans ahead of the playoffs. The 26-year-old finished that NHL stint with no points, a minus-2 rating, two PIM, two shots and five hits while averaging 15:01 of ice time. He'll rejoin the Wolves, who have punched their ticket for the Calder Cup Playoffs. Brind'Amour has 16 goals and 34 points in 66 outings with AHL Chicago this season.

  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Up from minors

Brind'Amour was called up from AHL Chicago on Wednesday. Brind'Amour has 16 goals, 34 points and 34 PIM in 66 outings with AHL Chicago in 2025-26. Although the 26-year-old hasn't appeared in an NHL game yet this campaign, he did score a goal in two regular-season appearances with Carolina in 2024-25.

  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Adds three points in AHL win

Brind'Amour scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Chicago's 5-2 win over Milwaukee on Saturday. Brind'Amour has four goals and four assists over his last six games. The forward is up to 13 points through 22 appearances for the Wolves this season. He's over halfway to matching his total from last year (24 points in 68 regular-season outings), but the 26-year-old doesn't seem likely to get much of a chance with the Hurricanes in 2025-26.

  • Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Staying in Carolina's organization

Brind'Amour penned a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Hurricanes on Monday, per PuckPedia. Brind'Amour appeared in two regular-season games with the Hurricanes in 2024-25, scoring his first career NHL goal on his only shot. The left-shot forward also recorded 16 goals, 24 points and a minus-14 rating over 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago. Carolina has a deep forward group, and considering Brind'Amour's new deal is a two-way contract, he's likely to spend the whole campaign with the Wolves unless multiple injuries open up a spot with the big club.

  • Hurricanes' Skylar Brind'Amour: Assigned to AHL

Brind'Amour was assigned to AHL Chicago on Sunday. After spending most of camp with the Hurricanes on a PTO, Brind'Amour signed a one-year, two-way contract with the team Sunday. He'll head to the minors ahead of the regular season after making 54 appearances for AHL Charlotte last year. It wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most of the 2024-25 campaign with the Wolves.
