Blackhawks' T.J. Brodie: Nets game-tying goal
Brodie scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Brodie's third-period tally tied the game at 2-2. He's picked up three points over his last four games, but Brodie hasn't added extra playing time under interim head coach Anders Sorensen. Brodie remains a low-scoring option on the third pairing. He has eight points, 14 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 29 appearances.

Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Scores goal vs. Washington
Donato scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Donato cracked the scoresheet in back-to-back games for the third time this season, and he's done so in three of Chicago's last four contests. However, it's hard to rely on the 28-year-old for consistent production. He has four points (one goal, three assists) in nine December appearances while failing to record a single point five times in that stretch.

Blackhawks' Ilya Mikheyev: Scores in second straight game
Mikheyev notched a shorthanded goal and an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Mikheyev recorded points in back-to-back games for the third time this season. However, this outing marked the first time he scored in back-to-back contests, as well as his first multi-point effort of the 2024-25 campaign. The 30-year-old is trending in the right direction after a slow start to the campaign and has cracked the scoresheet in four of his last seven appearances.

Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Another three-point performance
Teravainen recorded three assists, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
The 30-year-old winger was a dominant force in Chicago's lineup and made his presence felt in each of the team's three goals. This was his second straight three-point effort, as he notched one goal and two assists in the 5-3 win over the Islanders on Sunday. To put things into perspective, the six points he has over this recent two-game stretch equals the amount he collected on a 25-game stretch between Oct. 19 and Dec. 14. With that in mind, it's not surprising to see that his season-long numbers look low. He's notched just seven goals and 19 points in 32 games while posting a career-worst minus-10 rating.

Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Second straight win
Soderblom stopped 20 of 22 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Soderblom had a woeful showing against the Islanders on Dec. 12, giving up five goals on 19 shots, but he's bounced back admirably since then. He received some much-needed rest in the 4-1 loss to the Devils on Dec. 14, but he has won his last two starts, against the Islanders and Capitals, over three days. Soderblom has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.05 GAA and an .886 save percentage in six December contests, but there's no question his arrow is pointing in the right direction after his last outings.

Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Still out Tuesday
Smith (back) will not play Tuesday versus the Capitals, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Smith is set for a fourth straight absence due to the injury. The winger's next chance to play is Thursday versus the Kraken. If he can't return for that game, it's unclear if Smith will travel with the Blackhawks when they begin a road trip in Calgary on Saturday.

Blackhawks' Taylor Hall: Expected to play
Hall (undisclosed) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Capitals on Tuesday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Hall was considered a game-time decision, but it looks like he'll be able to suit up without missing a contest. Philipp Kurashev will exit the lineup Tuesday, while Hall is slated to play on the second line.

Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Set to start Tuesday
Soderblom will start at home Tuesday versus the Capitals, Greg Boysen of CHGO Sports reports.
Soderblom is set to start for the fifth time in the last six games. The 25-year-old netminder has gone 2-2-0 with 12 goals allowed over his last four appearances. The Capitals are playing the second half of a back-to-back after losing 3-1 in Dallas on Monday.

Blackhawks' Nick Foligno: Set to return
Foligno (illness) is expected to play against Washington on Tuesday, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Foligno participated in Tuesday's morning skate after missing Sunday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. He should return to a top-six role versus the Capitals. Foligno has produced seven goals, 13 points, 86 hits and 42 shots on net across 30 outings this season. If Taylor Hall (undisclosed) is in Tuesday's lineup, Joey Anderson will probably be a healthy scratch.

Blackhawks' Petr Mrazek: Nearing return
Mrazek (groin) was deemed "real close" by interim head coach Anders Sorensen but won't play versus the Capitals on Tuesday, per Mark Lazerus of The Athletic.
It's a bit of a vague update on Mrazek, but it's still better than nothing for fantasy players. While the Hawks could ease the 32-year-old backstop back into action, once he is up to full speed he should return to being a workhorse for Chicago. Prior to his absence, Mrazek had played in 20 of the team's 27 contests to open the season.

Blackhawks' Seth Jones: Upgraded to day-to-day
Jones (foot) is now considered day-to-day but won't play against Washington on Tuesday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Jones has been out of the lineup since Nov. 14 versus the Kraken, a stretch of 14 games on the shelf that appears to be nearing its end. In 17 games this year, the Texas-born defenseman has generated two goals and eight helpers, including five power-play points. Once given the all-clear, Jones should retake his spot with the man advantage in addition to eating up plenty of minutes on the blue line.

Blackhawks' Taylor Hall: Status uncertain for Tuesday
Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that Hall (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Tuesday against the Capitals.
Hall was not present at Tuesday's morning skate. Joey Anderson could remain in the lineup against Washington if Hall is unable to play, but Craig Smith (back) could be an option as well. Hall has been heating up with two goals and two assists over his last four appearances.

Blackhawks' Nolan Allan: Snags assist Sunday
Allan posted an assist and two PIM in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Islanders.
Allan had gone nine games without a point and was scratched three times during that stretch. The 21-year-old blueliner continues to log bottom-four minutes and frequently fills more of a defensive role. He's at five assists, 25 hits, 22 blocked shots, 12 PIM, eight shots on goal and a minus-5 rating through 24 appearances as a rookie.

Blackhawks' Connor Murphy: Deposits empty-netter in victory
Murphy scored his first goal of the season in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Islanders.
Murphy scored an unassisted empty-net goal at 19:49 of the final frame to seal the victory for Chicago. The goal was Murphy's first since Jan. 11. The right-shot blueliner is second in scoring on the back end for Chicago with 11 points, and he has added 32 PIM, 32 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 31 appearances. Murphy is on track to surpass his career high of 19 points from the 2019-20 campaign.

Blackhawks' Taylor Hall: Tallies in win
Hall scored his seventh goal of the season Sunday in a 5-3 win over the Islanders.
Hall put Chicago up 2-1 late in the first period, and he logged two PIM, four shots, one block and a plus-1 rating in 11:21 of ice time. The veteran winger has been productive recently with two goals and two helpers over his last four games -- he had just one assist through the first four games of December. The Alberta native has compiled seven goals (one game-winner), seven helpers, two power-play points, 59 shots, 12 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 30 games.

Blackhawks' Ilya Mikheyev: Back on scoresheet in victory
Mikheyev scored a goal on four shots and went plus-1 in 16:28 of ice time in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Islanders.
Mikheyev opened the scoring at 9:08 of the first period by netting a feed from Teuvo Teravainen. Mikheyev hadn't scored since Nov. 16, a span of 12 games. The Russian winger has registered at least 31 points in two of the last three seasons, but he's unlikely to reach that mark in 2024-25 considering his limited offensive output through 29 appearances. The 30-year-old has chipped in three goals and four assists while averaging 14:39 of ice time.
