Top Blackhawks News

  • Blackhawks' Marek Vanacker: Three-point game Tuesday

Vanacker scored twice and added an assist in OHL Brantford's 6-5 overtime win over Sudbury in Game 3 on Tuesday.

Vanacker is up to six points over three playoff games this year. He had 47 goals and 82 points across 60 regular-season appearances, matching his previous career high in an OHL campaign. Vancker's a key part of the Bulldogs' offense and will look to carry the team on a deep run before likely going pro in 2026-27.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Patrolling home blue paint Tuesday

Knight will start at home against the Jets on Tuesday, according to Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News.

Knight has lost three straight games (0-2-1) and has only one win in his last six appearances. The Jets are a familiar adversary for Knight -- this will be the fourth time this season that Knight will start against them. The 2019 first-round pick is 1-1-1 with a .906 save percentage and a 2.98 GAA against Winnipeg in 2025-26. The Jets have won three of their last four matchups, with their lone loss during that time coming against Colorado.

  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Probable to play again in 2025-26

Mangiapane (upper body) should be able to return to the lineup before the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports Tuesday.

Mangiapane has missed the last six games as a result of an injury he suffered in Minnesota on March 19. Considering the Blackhawks are all but eliminated from postseason contention, there will be no reason to rush Mangiapane back into the lineup, but it appears as if his season isn't over yet.

  • Blackhawks' Matt Grzelcyk: Out for remainder of season

Grzelcyk (upper body) will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 regular season, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday.

Grzelcyk hasn't played since March 22 against Nashville because of the injury. He will conclude the campaign with 12 assists, 68 shots on goal, 54 blocked shots and 28 hits across 69 appearances. The 32-year-old blueliner will be eligible for unrestricted free agency in the summer.

  • Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov: Out for rest of season

Levshunov (hand) will not play again in 2025-26, according to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday.

Levshunov sustained a fracture in his left hand against the Islanders last week and played through the injury for a few games. The 20-year-old defenseman will now turn his attention to recovering and getting ready for the 2026-27 campaign, but it currently remains to be seen if Levshunov will undergo surgery to address his hand fracture.

  • Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Earns two helpers in loss

Frondell logged two assists and three shots on goal in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.

Frondell has four helpers over his first four NHL games. His second assist Sunday was his first career power-play point. The 18-year-old got a look at center in this contest, but he went just 2-for-9 at the dot. He'll have time to either develop down the middle or focus on a shift to the wing in the next few years as the Blackhawks work to build a winning roster through a draft-and-develop pathway.

  • Blackhawks' Ilya Mikheyev: Finds twine Sunday

Mikheyev scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.

Mikheyev has scored three times over the last seven contests despite the Blackhawks scoring just 14 times in that span. The 31-year-old winger provides a veteran presence in the middle six and continues to handle plenty of tough assignments as a steady defensive forward. Mikheyev is up to 15 goals, 29 points, 110 shots on net and a minus-5 rating over 69 appearances this season.

  • Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Two goals in Sunday's loss

Nazar scored twice on seven shots, added two hits and went minus-2 in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.

Nazar scored at even strength in the first period and on the power play in the third. He gave the Blackhawks a one-goal lead each time, but neither advantage lasted. The 22-year-old has logged six multi-point efforts in March, but he's also been held off the scoresheet seven times over 15 contests this month, showing some inconsistency from a middle-six role. Overall, the center has a career-high 14 goals to go with 24 assists, 10 power-play points, 123 shots on net, 40 blocked shots, 31 hits and a minus-15 rating across 58 appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Loses third straight game

Knight allowed four goals on 39 shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Devils. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Knight is 0-2-1 with 12 goals allowed on 114 shots over his last three games. He's faced at least 30 shots in seven of his eight outings in March, and that heavy volume behind a young and shaky defense isn't leading to good results. Knight is down to 18-21-10 with a 2.71 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 49 appearances this season. The Blackhawks' next game is at home Tuesday versus the Jets before they head out west for another road trip.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Tending twine Sunday

Knight will protect the road net against New Jersey on Sunday, per Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News.

Knight has gone 0-1-1 in his last two outings while allowing eight goals on 75 shots. He has posted a record of 18-20-10 this campaign with two shutouts, a 2.69 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 48 appearances. New Jersey sits 27th in the league with 2.71 goals per game this season.

  • Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov: Has fracture in hand

Levshunov (hand) won't play Sunday against the Devils and has no timeline for his return, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Levshunov had been playing through the fracture in his left hand for a couple of games, but the team is shutting him down for now. The team doesn't know the timeline for his return quite yet. The 20-year-old has 24 points (two goals, 22 assists) in 68 games this season.

  • Blackhawks' Kevin Korchinski: Summoned from AHL

Korchinski was recalled from AHL Rockford on Sunday.

Korchinski has one assist, three shots on net, three blocked shots and one hit in four NHL outings this season. He also has two goals and 26 points in 53 AHL appearances during the 2025-26 campaign.

  • Blackhawks' Jack Pridham: Adds three assists in playoff win

Pridham posted three assists in OHL Kitchener's 6-4 win over Saginaw in Game 1 on Friday.

Pridham had 90 points in 65 regular-season outings, and he's off to a positive start in the playoffs. The winger had 13 points in 16 playoff contests last spring with Kitchener. Pridham will look to make a big impact in this postseason. He hasn't signed his entry-level deal, but as a 20-year-old, he'll need to level up from junior hockey in 2026-27, either by going to the NCAA or by signing his entry-level deal to join AHL Rockford.

  • Blackhawks' Nick Lardis: Scores lone goal in loss

Lardis scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Rangers.

Lardis has three goals and two assists over his last four outings. The 20-year-old winger is getting a sustained look on the second line, though he was at just 10:57 of ice time in this contest, his lowest mark in five games. He's up to eight goals, five assists, 40 shots on net, 44 hits and a minus-10 rating over 32 appearances this season. Lardis has some scoring upside if he can stay in the upper half of the lineup, but there's a fair amount of risk involved for fantasy managers that might want to deploy him to boost their teams.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Surrenders six goals in loss

Soderblom allowed six goals on 39 shots in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Rangers.

With the Blackhawks going ultra-young for the rest of the season, that's created some gaps in the system. It showed Friday, as Soderblom struggled under pressure behind a green defensive unit. He's gone 2-3-1 in March, allowing at least four goals in each of his losses. He's at 7-12-3 with a 3.79 GAA and an .881 save percentage over 23 appearances this season. Spencer Knight will probably get the nod for Sunday's game versus the Devils to close out this road trip.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Slated to start Friday

Soderblom is expected to defend the visiting goal versus the Rangers on Friday.

Soderblom has faced 96 shots in his last two starts, surrendering just seven goals (.927 save percentage). He is 7-11-3 with a 3.69 GAA and an .883 save percentage across 22 appearances. The Rangers are generating 2.76 goals per game, 26th in the NHL.
