Phillies manager Rob Thomson indicated Sunday that he'll move Bohm up to the cleanup spot in Tuesday's game versus the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Bohm was "on everything" during the weekend series in Arizona, per Thomson, going 8-for-13 with a home run and two doubles after returning from a shoulder issue. With Bohm's impending move up to the cleanup spot, J.T. Realmuto will likely slide down to the No. 6 slot.

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. Bohm has gone 4-for-9 with two extra-base hits and four RBI over two games since he returned from a shoulder injury that led to a minimal stay on the injured list. The third baseman is up to 10 long balls on the year, with this one being his first since Aug. 17 versus the Nationals. He's added a .275/.321/.394 slash line with 55 RBI, 49 runs scored and two stolen bases over 113 contests this season.

The Phillies activated Bohm (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Friday. Bohm missed the minimum 10 days with a cyst in his left shoulder. He did not go out on a rehab assignment but put in the necessary work to convince the Phillies he was ready to go. With Bohm back in the fold, Otto Kemp could either play some second base versus lefties or shift to a reserve role.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson said he expects Bohm (shoulder) to return from the injured list in the minimum 10 days after the third baseman was deactivated Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Edmundo Sosa and Triple-A Lehigh Valley call-up Otto Kemp will enter the lineup at shortstop and third base, respectively, in Monday's game against the Mets, as the Phillies will break in two new starters in the infield with Bohm and Trea Turner (hamstring) landing on the IL. Though Turner may not be ready to return until shortly before the postseason, Bohm looks like he'll be headed for a shorter absence after he had been playing through pain in his non-dominant (left) shoulder in recent days. According to Gelb, Bohm was determined to be dealing with a cyst that needed to be drained and will be further treated with an injection, but the expectation is that he'll be ready to resume baseball activities after a few days of rest. Bohm is on the IL for the second time this season, after a fractured left rib kept him out of commission for about a month shortly after the All-Star break.

The Phillies placed Bohm on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a cyst in his shoulder, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Otto Kemp was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move, and he'll immediately enter the lineup as Bohm's replacement at third base in Monday's series opener versus the Mets. Bohm had started in each of the Phillies' last five games and wasn't known to be nursing a shoulder issue, but he'll require an injection to drain the cyst and will be shut down for at least the next week and a half. The Phillies will be rolling out a new-look left side of the infield Monday, as Edmundo Sosa will draw the start at shortstop after Trea Turner (hamstring) was placed on the injured list along with Bohm. The 29-year-old will be eligible for activation Sept. 19, but a clearer target for his return likely won't emerge until he's cleared to resume baseball activities.
