Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Hit streak reaches double digits
Casas went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Rays.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Massive performance in win
Abreu went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and seven RBI in Wednesday's 12-3 win over the Rangers.
Abreu launched a grand slam in the third inning and padded the Astros' lead with a three-run blast in the ninth. Considering he went nearly two months without a homer to begin the season, he's done fairly well to get up to a dozen long balls this year, four of which have come in his last eight games. The first baseman is slashing .236/.295/.365 with 74 RBI, 51 runs scored and 18 doubles through 121 contests overall.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Stays warm Wednesday
Vaughn went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Royals.
A meeting with Kansas City pitching has helped spark Vaughn's offense again. Over his last 16 games, he has eight multi-hit efforts and seven 0-fers. The first baseman has a career high in homers (19) and has added 72 RBI, four shy of matching his total from last year. He's maintained a respectable .259/.317/.438 slash line through 130 contests.

Justice Bigbie 1B | DET
Tigers' Justice Bigbie: Promoted to Toledo
The Tigers promoted Bigbie to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old outfielder began 2023 with High-A West Michigan, and he'll now reach Triple-A for the final few weeks of the minor-league season. Bigbie put up impressive numbers with Double-A Erie, slashing .366/.425/.559 with 11 homers and 42 RBI across 266 plate appearances. If he manages to stay hot in Triple-A, Bigbie will likely open 2024 with Toledo and have a chance at reaching the majors later in the year.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: On bench again Wednesday
O'Hearn is absent from the lineup again Wednesday versus the Angels.
This marks three straight absences for O'Hearn as the Orioles face a string of left-handed starters, though he came off the bench late in Tuesday's game and contributed an RBI single and a run scored to Baltimore's eventual extra-innings victory over the Halos. O'Hearn has drawn only 22 plate appearances against southpaws this year.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Three hits in win
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Angels.
This was Mountcastle's second multi-hit effort in a row after he snapped a brief 0-for-7 skid. The first baseman hit .360 in August and continues to receive regular playing time between first base and designated hitter. For the year, he's at a strong .278/.330/.471 slash line with 18 home runs, 67 RBI, 60 runs scored and three stolen bases over 105 contests.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Tallies 18th homer
Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Royals.
Vaughn went deep in the third inning to tally his 18th homer of the season, setting a new career-best mark. He's posted a near-identical batting line to his 2022 campaign, though he has maintained his health to remain in the lineup regularly and improve his counting stats. Overall, Vaughn has settled in as a slightly above-average hitter, maintaining a 103 wRC+ across 1,550 career plate appearances.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Twins' Donovan Solano: Sitting out Wednesday
Solano is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Cleveland.
Solano manned first base for the first two games of the series and went 3-for-11 with a double, a triple, three RBI and a run scored, but he'll get a breather for the day game after a night game. Edouard Julien will cover first base for the Twins in the series finale.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Triples in win
Aranda went 1-for-2 with a triple, three walks, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-6 win over the Red Sox.
Aranda got the scoring started in the second inning after Wilyer Abreu lost a flyball in the Tropicana Field catwalks, resulting in an RBI triple. The 25-year-old Aranda, who got the start at DH, would reach base three more times via walks in the contest, scoring a pair of runs. Aranda's playing time's been sparse since he was called up Aug. 15. He's gone 5-for-22 (.227) with one home run in that span. He did post eye-popping numbers in the minors, however, batting .339 with 25 homers and a 1.063 OPS across 95 Triple-A games.
