Mariners' Ty France: Doubles, steals in loss
France went 1-for-5 with an RBI double and a stolen base in a loss to the Angels on Monday.
France pulled off a rare steal of third base after his third-inning two-bagger snapped a 1-1 tie by bringing home Julio Rodriguez. The 28-year-old France has hit safely in four of his first five games while striking out just once during his first 22 plate appearances, and the steal was the first of his big-league career.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Athletics' Ryan Noda: Doubles in first big-league start
Noda went 2-for-5 with a double and a run in an extra-inning loss to the Guardians on Monday.
Jesus Aguilar was given the night off after three straight starts to open the season, and Noda was afforded the opportunity to log his first major-league start in the process. The Rule 5 Draft selection displayed some of the pop that enticed the Athletics to hold on to him after Cactus League play, and he also crossed the plate in the second inning on Esteury Ruiz's double after leading off the frame with a single in his first regular-season big-league plate appearance. It's an encouraging start for Noda, who could work himself into a solid share of playing time between first base and designated hitter if he proves capable of wielding a consistent bat.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Launches homer in loss
Casas went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-6 loss to the Pirates.
Casas went yard for the first time this season. His was the last of three first-inning home runs and gave him five RBI through four games. Boston's bats have been prominent thus far, giving players like Casas, a sixth-place hitter who is 2-for-11 (.182), plenty of RBI opportunities.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Clubs homer Monday
Naylor went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two walks in Monday's 12-11 extra-inning win over the Athletics.
Naylor is 6-for-17 with two homers and four RBI over five games this season. His walks Monday were his first free passes of the campaign. Naylor has hit fifth in the four contests he's started, three of which have come at first base. It looks like he can coexist with Josh Bell occupying the designated-hitter role. The Guardians' ability to consistently get on base should provide plenty of chances for Naylor to rack up RBI.

Luke Raley RF | SEA
Rays' Luke Raley: Goes deep twice Monday
Raley went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk and three total RBI in Monday's 6-2 win over the Nationals.
Raley was the surprise offensive star for Tampa Bay in the team's fourth straight win, as he kicked off the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning and added a solo shot in the eighth. Raley has gotten into each of the Rays' first four games this season, going 3-for-10 with four RBI.

Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Belts first homer of 2023
Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in an 8-1 win against the Phillies.
Rizzo recorded his first long ball of the campaign in the fifth inning, swatting a two-run shot to right field to give New York a 5-1 lead. The first baseman has hit safely in all four of New York's contests this season, going a collective 4-for-12 with four RBI and a 4:2 BB:K.

Ryan Noda 1B | BAL
Athletics' Ryan Noda: Starting at first base
Noda is hitting seventh and starting at first base for Monday's game against the Guardians, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Noda will get his first start as a member of the Athletics after appearing in three games off the bench. The 26-year-old was a Rule 5 draft selection in the offseason, and Oakland will be able to give him looks during the 2023 campaign during their rebuilding season.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Batting sixth again Monday
Casas is starting at first base and batting sixth for the Red Sox in Monday's game versus the Pirates.
Manager Alex Cora intimated before the season that both Casas and Alex Verdugo would get a look in the leadoff spot against right-handers, but it's been Verdugo there in all three games versus righties while Casas settles into the six spot. In the team's lone contest against a lefty, Rob Refsnyder led off, Verdugo batted sixth and Casas was on the bench. Verdugo is off to a much better start than Casas, so it's not terribly surprising Cora hasn't switched things up yet.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Solid start to new campaign
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI on Sunday against the Astros.
Vaughn started his production with an RBI single in the sixth inning to put the White Sox up by two runs. He added a double -- his second of the season -- three frames later but was stranded at third base. Vaughn has had a productive start to the season, collecting three hits across 11 at-bats with three RBI and a run scored.
